A month-old hotel - either not trained up to the task or short on staff. I used the digital key from Marriott app, but my room wouldn't open. So I dragged my luggage down to the lobby to get it sorted. When I returned  to my room on the 4th floor - it wasn't ready.  So I  dragged my stuff to the lobby again to get another room. Filtered water sign in the kitchenette sink (but couldn't figure out how to activate it), compost bin was my first encounter in a hotel room, but no recycling bin. Bedding is nice, but the mattress is too soft for my preference. I hate that all the new hotels do not have windows to get some fresh air. Mini toiletries, but nowhere to put them in the shower - only on the floor. But shower pressure is good and bathroom is good size. No coffee or tea or any items that are usually with the machine - assuming the cleaner forgot to stock. In the lobby, can get good coffee from a fancy machine using freshly grounded beans (this was probably the best thing about this hotel). The breakfast was disappointing for a hotel of this level - only sweet crepe was available for hot food -  the cook said it changes every few days and lucky me - I don't want sugary starch. Other items that you can help yourself with were all either processed carbs/sugar. I've stayed in loads of hotels in the past year being a nomad and rarely see the bible these days, let alone a book of Mormon -seems to go against the hotel image. Found curly little hair in the fridge - hope it isn't because the cleaner used the same towel from the bathroom to wipe up - eeek! Guess it's ok for 1 night for a rest.

The rooms were clean and pleasant. I opted for the studio suite which has a kitchenette as well. The bedroom and living areas are separated by a wall and each has a smart tv installed for your convenience. The main issue I had was that I couldn't get the fan from air conditioner to blow and move the air around. I feel very uncomfortable when the air in a room is still. And due to the wall between the bedroom and the living room, you have small tight spaces and you can't open the windows. So having no air movement or circulation was mildly on the torturous side for me. These rooms need fans. On TV you have options like cable, Youtube (with ads), Pandora (if you already have an account) etc or you can plug in your own streaming device via hdmi device if you prefer. The bathroom was clean, modern and well-lit. And thankfully it had a sliding door, walk-in shower which I far prefer to those bath tubs you have to climb into just to shower, which are just an inconvenience since you mostly can't actually take a bath in them. Kitchen are was well-equipped for my purposes which was mainly to wash dishes and lay out some charcuterie and wine. The fridge also seemed to be in good working order, clean and bright. The area is quiet and beautiful, and I took a pleasant walk in the evening. It is well equipped with sidewalks as well.

Element chain of hotels is part of the Marriott Bonvoy hotel product suite. They cater to Longer Stay travelers. Options like kitchens supplied with dishes and utensils are available. They can be great when traveling with significant others and kids. This location supports pets. The bedroon suite I stayed in is somewhat spacious. Lots of white and tan wood tones with turquoise colors mixed in. This hotel is located in Beaverton and is within walking distance of the Tualatin Hills Aquatic Center, Baseball, Tennis, Skatepark and various recreational facilities. There are restaurants nearby. Overall it's a quality hotel and I plan to continue to use it for business travel in the future.

It's a newly built place that tries very hard to give the millennial desire for "travel experiences" but in a very corporate way. If you look past your cynicism it is aesthetically visually appealing and I like the choices of what is featured (even the types of snacks available at the front desk are "healthy" and not "main stream").

Stylish hardwood finish floors and stoneware crockery abound.

The staff is pleasant, the neighborhood is a bit whatever (in 5 oaks off 158th), but there is a lot within easy driving distance between Beaverton and Hillsboro. A Fred Meyer and Costco are

Tripadvisor asks who I went with (won't allow posting of the review without choosing an option) and the answer is Family, but no teens. It was myself and my mother (my caregiver). I am in my 50s and my mother is in her 70s.||||Do not stay at this hotel if you are disabled, especially if you are a wheelchair user. There are also reasons not to stay here even if you are not disabled. The one star is solely because I have actually had to stay in hotels worse than this one.||||As a Marriott Bonvoy member, I booked a two queen bed studio room online (for which I received a confirmation email with the word GUARANTEED in it). When I arrived, the room was not available. I was told it was occupied. I was put in a different room with one bed and a pullout sofa. I was not allowed to see the room I booked as I was told it was occupied and would be long term. However, when I checked out I was told (obviously by a different person), that the room I had booked was not available because of a mechanical problem. She assured me that the studio with two queen beds DOES exist. ||||There was no way to use the room in my wheelchair with the pullout couch bed open (in the room we were put in), so my mother (my caregiver) and myself (physically disabled) had to sleep in the same bed. The bathtub bench is at one end of the tub and at the other end are all of the things needed to bath - all completely out of reach (and in the case of the shower head and the soap and shampoo - up high so that they can only be reached by someone who can stand and shower). The bar next to the toilet does not meet ADA requirements and was loose. Also, the bathroom door is on backwards and hinged on the wrong side, so it opens out in such a way that it blocks the path between the kitchen/bathroom and the main room and door to the room itself. If the door were on properly, it would open against a wall and not block anything, allowing for easy movement throughout the room.||||As for the room we were given it also had other issues: the window coverings (automated) do not block out the light so the room is not dark at all at night, making it difficult to sleep. It is also apparently directly above the hotel laundry room, which was running machines 24/7. The plates provided (in the kitchen the room has) are tiny so don't expect to be able to make or even heat up an actual meal on them. You can't even put a sandwich on one of them. We did not use the stove. The refrigerator is a good size, however the ice machine is LOUD and makes noise constantly. ||||Lastly, when we arrived we saw there is a huge construction site next to the hotel. We were not notified of this construction prior to our arrival, nor was the construction mentioned in any way when we checked in or during our stay (because I guess pretending it doesn't exist is a reasonable and normal thing to do)?||||It should not be too much to expect the type of room booked (especially when you have a received a guaranteed confirmation), nor should it be too much to expect an ADA room to be safe and usable for a disabled person IN A NEW HOTEL, when the ADA (federal law) is over 30 years old, now. ||||I really expect Marriott to provide much better accommodations and service, especially in their new properties! Apologies and excuses are meaningless. ||||Disabled people need to travel and stay in hotels and deserve accommodations that enable them to do so. Disabled people deserve to be treated with the same respect and receive the same quality of service provided to able...
