I love Lamb Gyros. But this restaurant used what tasted like steak bites with fat on them. The meat was tough and not tender. I do not remember if there was Feta Cheese. No Pepperoncini. No Greek Salad. I got the French fries which where good. No ranch dressing or ketchup was offered. No salt and pepper on the table. We got one napkin with the silverware. I did get iced tea. I was offered sugar. I declined. The floor is concrete and the chairs are cheap wood. Everytime somebody moved their chair. It was obnoxiously loud. The lights where off and it was a little dark inside. People talking was very loud. I do not recall if there was music playing. The cook station kept stacking the clean plates making really loud clanking noise. The waitresses where beautiful and friendly. Two if them where wearing leather style pants. My tea was refilled. My Aunt was never offered more hot tea. It was so loud in this small building I could barely hear my Aunt talking. I asked fir the check with my hand in the air. No desert was offered. We where asked if we wanted a to go box. My Aunt only had rice left. She ate her shrimp and salad. I described to the waitress how the Lamb Gyro tasted like steak pieces. She explained they cut up their meat and do not use hanging Lamb. Saying that was more of a Greek thing. Than she explained to us that other Customers had the same complaint about their Lamb Gyros. Saying the Beef Gyros where tender and sliced? We paid $40 and left a $10 tip. I thought maybe we should have gotten a discount. Especially because the waitresses were aware of previous complaints. I was told they where going to talk to Management about getting a different Lamb meat.. I would have ordered something different if I had known how bad the...

While the restaurant still provides relatively good food, I feel the need to make a note about their poor takeout order system. The last few times I've placed an order with a specific request time, they have been late by more than 30 min. To be clear, I placed the take out order well before the requested pickup time (ie ordered at 4pm for a pickup at 6pm). Since having two kids, we've transitioned to take out rather than dining in. I specifically request a pick up time because I have an infant and toddler with me and it is hard to wait more than 10-15 min in the car with them. It is unacceptable to have to wait 30+ min when I placed the order well in advance and with zero notifications of a delay by the restaurant. This might be the last time I visit Blue Olive for a long while...
Great neighborhood middle Eastern restaurant. They have excellent appetizers -- my favorites are their babaghanoush & fried Greek cheese. As for entrees, they primarily serve meat dishes but they also have a vegetarian & vegan entrees. Personally, their best meat dishes are the kobideh kebab (made of ground beef) and the lamb chops. It's in the Timberland Town Center near Market of Choice so it's relatively easy to find this place. They serve lunch, happy hour, and dinner. However this place is usually slammed for dinner, even on weekdays. So I recommend going early (around 5:30-6pm) or a little later like after 7pm. The only thing I don't like is their baklava. I think it's too thick and too sweet. But some people like it. Overall, it's a great casual restaurant -- a very popular place for those who...
Read moreAfter being told that my to-go order would be 50 minutes to 1 hour I was fine with that. I did reiterate to the young lady on the phone that I didn't want soggy, cold food. Should I come early. She then stated it will be 50 minutes to an hour. I ordered at 6:45 p.m.. I arrived at 7:35pm,( should have definitely come early and just had a drink at the bar, but they did sound busy when I called and didn't want to have to sit in my car since the place is so small).
When I arrived on ask for my food there was one bag sitting on a shelf the place was empty and my food, I checked before I left, was completely cold, as if it had been sitting there for a very long time. I then complained. They were nice enough to remake my food. I live 4 minutes from the restaurant. My food was still cold when I got home. Nothing had really been remade the fries were just warmed up (warm but soggy). And to be honest there was actually very little meat in 2 $13 lamb Gyro! No I did not pick the meat out and eat it on the way this is what they serve! I rarely write a review about a restaurant! I've worked in them for 25 years! FYI, there's a great little place down the street in Peter Court Plaza. Half the price way more meat but unfortunately they're closed on Mondays, Gyro fresh Mediterranean Grill... way better food! I'm excited to try the Vietnamese restaurant next door they were very busy and the food looked and smells very good....
Skip this restaurant Drive 2 minutes away. Not a destination dining spot but a way...
