This one I will admit is a bit tricky. Many of their beers I love, some of the best beer I've ever had. The application does not work on my phone very well be, it's virtually impossible to order something. I don't know if it's an incompatibility issue. They're good beers can sell out quickly and I often miss them because of the application does not work properly for me. The only way to preorder the beer is to the application which really works for me, it's odd that it is intermittent. What's worthy of a one or two star great Notions Brewing is when you call them. I apologize if this seems inappropriate but it does still bother me. Since the application does not work on my phone I called them to see if they had any beer in stock so I could order it. They refused to tell me how much beer they had in stock, he said he did have some but he wouldn't tell me if they had one four pack or 20 4 packs. If they only had one and I drove the 10 minutes to try and get it and it was gone no worries if they had 20 I would drive there at my leisure expecting to get some. When I ask you in person why they wouldn't tell me how much they had in stock he said. " it wouldn't be fair". That makes no sense to me and leaves a sour taste in my mouth, which is one of best beers I've ever had, their sour papaya called Big papaya. I would love to get another four pack of this but it's sold out. Anyway, crazy good beer and weird customer service decisions. When I asked him why he wouldn't tell me he said corporate told them not to tell people how much they had in stock. I'll never understand that decision. I would love to get my hands and another four pack of...

Guess what I won't be doing again? Stepping foot in any Great Notion location.
To Great Notion: people want VALUE; they don't want to feel like they are being fleeced. Value keeps them coming back. Value builds loyalty. Taking every red cent you can from customers doesn't make them leave happy.
My wife and son and I are always looking for places to eat in the area because our son plays tennis twice a week nearby, and we always grab dinner after; so last night, I thought "Let's take a look at the menu at Great Notion (for the future), and I'll grab a six-pack (or four-pack) to go in the meantime."
It was late and we needed to get home so I begrudgingly paid the $18 for the four-pack, but I left saying to myself "Well, at least I know we can cross this place off our list."
Great Notion: we're just one family, but you lost the opportunity to earn our business because you felt the need to charge stratospheric prices for a 4-pack of beer. There's not even a retailer in the middle, for crying out loud! You traded a potential new customer who always dines in the area for $18. That doesn't seem like a smart decision. Again, people want value. Then...
Read moreYou can find great tasting beers at Great Notion! I like the breweryâs design and the location. It is definitely a brewery I would love to come back to and I recommend it to anyone visiting the area!
After being to several breweries in CA, FL, OR and Europe within the past 10+ years, and having tasted 100s of beers all over the United States, I wouldnât say they are the most varied beers, taste wise, BUT they are way above the average brewery.
One last thing: their "pint" glasses are deceptively smaller. I am not sure if they can really hold 16oz, and I have several glasses at home: I cannot see that many ounces in there. The closest brewery to theirs, a 5-minute walk, does the same thing BTW. Maybe one of the owners can confirm this? I donât want to buy a "pint" if the glass isnât 16oz at a minimum.
Service was great and the pretzel we got was pretty tasty as well PLUS we loved to get some beers at discounted prices during their happy hour: you...
