Customer service did not exist. It was my first time. The entire experience was cringing. I couldn't even get a decent receipt because they have a new system and don't know how to use it apparently. That makes no sense. I didn't even have the option to email the receipt to myself... what kind of business practice is that.They did end up giving me a hand written receipt thank goodness. Both the guy and the lady working there didn't seem to want to assist me - I'm not sure if they really wanted to be there. It was very unwelcoming. The atmosphere was very doom and gloomy.. how depressing. The guy sitting in the kitchen area took awhile before he came over to assist me seeing that his partner was busy helping other people. Nobody asked me if I had any questions or indicated to me that they will be with me in just a moment when I first walked in. It was quite awkward. Would not come back here even though I live down the block. The shop is not very clean. I also asked if I should wait for the dessert to thaw before eating since they do store some in the freezer and I was told no. But I did notice the cheese cake was a bit hard and really cold so it did require a few minutes of thawing since it came from the freezer clearly. Not sure why the desserts are frozen..might as well go to a grocery store because I wanted it ready to eat right away and FRESH. Also some of the deserts in their display are fake. Literally watched the guy behind the counter tell a customr this. Overall the deserts were okay but not enough for me to want to come back or recommend this place to anyone. What a waste of my hard earned $20.00. Should have paid attention to the reviews because there is a consistent complaint of terrible customer service. This February I ordered a customized red velvet, my original order was a red velvet cake with cream cheese, and several macrarons on top of the cake. They asked me about design I said it's for my husband and I trust you can come up with good design. The cake was $80. When I went to get the cake, it was like classic red velvet look - which I thought was fine. but not only it was not cream cheese frosting, there was no macarons on the cake.. I wrote to the their IG and they didn't even bother to talk to their own customer service. It was obvious whoever took my order didn't communicate clear with chef AND myself - if it's because it is Japanese cake style and chef insists not to do cream cheese frosting, they should tell me immediately when take my order, or call me back. I orederd online for ASAP pickup, received a call 10 mins before it was supposed to be ready saying the only person there doesnt know how to make the batter. Being flexible, instead of getting a refund, I agreed to just get them the following day. I called and was told they would be ready at 1035am so I showed up a couple mins early and was fully ignored for 20 mins! Then, finally given burnt on the outside and raw on the inside pancakes. Now, since I paid with a card, I have to wait for my money whenever the banks get to it. Now, its way past breakfast time and we are starving. Now, I am livid! Train those poor boys damn it!
