Thank you for your additional response. I understand the challenges of running a business, particularly managing facilities with limited resources. However, I must respectfully address some points.
First, while I am not your direct employee, I am a subcontractor performing work on behalf of your business through your contract with Uber Eats. My role ensures your customers receive their food promptly, expanding your reach and sales. Denying or restricting restroom access to drivers who are integral to your operations reflects poorly, particularly when Oregon's Restroom Access Act and public accommodation laws emphasize reasonable access for individuals engaged in work-related tasks.
Second, I want to clarify that, as a delivery driver working under Uber’s hourly pay model, I am required to accept all assigned orders during my shift. This means I do not choose which restaurants I serve—you, as the business owner, opted into this partnership with Uber Eats. If I were working on a per-order basis, I would have the option to decline, but under the hourly system, I must accept all orders assigned to me. This structure underscores the mutual reliance between businesses and delivery drivers, making it even more important for businesses to respect the role drivers play.
While I understand that past issues with certain drivers may have influenced your policy, penalizing all drivers for the behavior of a few is not a fair or effective solution. One potential compromise could be implementing a refundable deposit system, such as a $1 deposit for restroom use. This would ensure facilities are respected while avoiding unfair restrictions. Drivers or customers could simply get their deposit back upon leaving the restroom clean, balancing accountability with accessibility.
Finally, I appreciate that you prioritize restroom access for vulnerable individuals like children and the elderly. However, extending that consideration to drivers who help sustain your operations would demonstrate greater goodwill and fairness. Delivery drivers are a vital part of your business model, and small gestures like providing restroom access or implementing creative solutions foster positive relationships and better collaboration.
I hope you’ll revisit your policies to ensure they are both inclusive and aligned with legal and ethical standards. Thank you for taking the time to engage in...
Read moreI’ve been a customer of this place multiple times and always received good service until the last time I was there.
This review is about my experience there as a food delivery driver. When I got there to pick up food for their customer, I needed to use the restroom. As drivers, we rely of the restaurants for this accommodation. They told me that they cannot let me use their restroom because it’s for customers only. I would understand if just a random person would walk in and ask for the restroom but I am working and serving their customer just like their in house servers. Most other restaurants have the same rule but it doesn’t apply to the drivers and I never had such problem before.
I spoke to the server and to the owner and told them not only that I and working and serving THEIR customer right now, I’m also a customer. The owner made me tell her what I ordered and when I made a mistake in naming the dish, she just walked away saying that they don’t have such a dish. When she came back, I told her that I made a mistake and after she asked more questions about my order, she was already handing me the customer’s order and she finally gave me the code. By that time I already waited 10 minutes for the order so I couldn’t waste any more time because I have penalties if it takes too long for me to deliver. So I grubbed the bag and left.
I find it absolutely despicable, unkind, inhumane and frankly unprofessional to refuse the use of restroom for someone who’s serving your clients. It just shows the true nature of people who work there. If they know that they are making money off of you, they are nice to you and if they don’t, then they treat you like you are nothing. I live in this neighborhood and was excited to know that a new owner took over the place and so I was exploring their menu little by little. Now, I will never go back to this place and will make sure that everyone I know and more knows what kind of people own the place.

Read moreThere are so many Thai restaurants within the Beaverton area that it can get difficult to decide which one you're gonna want to put your money on while looking at a map of them all. But this I can assure you is true. None of them will ever quite compare with the food at Lanna Thai Kitchen.
The food here is always delicious, fresh, perfectly cooked and never leaves you feeling burdened afterwards. I can eat three dishes from this restaurant and still feel good enough to actually go do things afterwards. Which is more than can be said for several other Thai restaurants within the same block whose food can often be extremely oily and heavy.
Every dish I've had from Lanna Thai has been the best dish I've had of that type. I try something new every single time I go practically as a challenge at this point. Wondering if there'll be something on their menu that I don't love. But that day never comes. Literally everything I've eaten here has been phenomenal and always affordable too. On top of all that the people working here are just so kind and wonderful and dedicated. You almost feel like you're eating food at a friend's house here.
So if you love Thai food or want to try it out for your first time someday, look no further than Lanna...
