This place really disappointed me tonight with their service. I ordered the #505 to go, lemongrass chicken vermicelli bowl, and they forgot the sauce that makes the dish what it is.
That's like ordering pho and forgetting the broth, or ordering salad and forgetting the dressing. This was not like forgetting ketchup or napkins; it was a huge disappointment.
When I called them after coming home, they very rudely told me to come back for the sauce. I wasn't going to go all the way back there just for a sauce, when it took all I had in me to go there in the first place.
They said I can come get the sauce, bring the food back for a credit, or get two free sauces next time. Seriously? What's the point of two free sauces with no food to go with it?! So, what, either I drive all the way back or I eat dry, flavorless noodles?
It was their mistake, yet they didn't offer me any sort of compensation nor did they sound remotely apologetic for the inconvenience and disappointment. Instead they condescended me and then he hung up on me...!!! For real?
Ridiculous. I've never experienced such awful service in my life. It's OK to make mistakes, but to be unwilling to offer any other compensation besides just bringing the food back, and then to be rude from the moment they pick up the phone, is unacceptable. There's many other ways he could've approached this, this was...
Read moreWe've eaten here many times over many years, averaging 1-2 times per month. This used to be my favorite pho location, and it might still be if I'm in the mood for pho, but tonight they lost my business.
I ordered sugar cane shrimp, something I've ordered many times from Pho King Good. But this time the amount of meat on the skinny sugar cane was so low I decided to call in and complain.
I work in the restaurant industry and when we get a complaint we do anything we can to turn an unhappy customer into a satisfied one.
They passed me to 3 different people, all of which said they wouldn't be able to do anything. I even gave them suggestions of how they could make me happy. I was willing to drive back to the restaurant to show them how little meat there was and was basically told to not bother coming. If they remade the dish it would have the same amount of meat.
It just isn't worth the price I paid. There are many other pho restaurants in our area, including Pho Van (a little more expensive, but their sugar cane shrimp has well more than twice the shrimp meat). Time to find a new...
Read moreHave wanted to come here for a while just based on the name. Now my review might seem harsh, but it's not meant to be.
They were busy enough, the staff was friendly, the place was clean, and my order came out quickly.
My issue was the pho itself. First, the smell was offputting. (I ordered the beef pho. I think #3) I've had beef pho all over and love the smell of a good beef broth. This didn't smell right to me.
Second, very little beef compared to what I'm used to. There was more sinew and fat than what I would expect. I actually had to Dr it up a lot before I found it palatable.
Now in my defense, I eat at Vivis frequently and Pho Saigon when I want a change of pace. Both are really phenomenal and I wonder if my standards are too high because of where I frequent? All I know is I don't "have" to Dr anything from either place for my food to smell and taste amazing.
If you come here and like it great, I dont want to hurt their business. They seem really nice. Just not what...
