I visited the Omelette Shop with friends on April 7th after a night out. I ordered the country skillet w/biscuit and gravy and pancakes . My order took forever. I eventually just asked for it to be made to go. Upon requesting it be made to go I also paid for my meal at that moment, with the server not sure of her name but she is African American (only included for ID purposes as I am AA) . I finally received my food and left for the night.
On April 8th I visited the omelette shop again with family and a friend after an event. We walk in find our seat and wait for our server. Our server approaches the table and I recognize she is the same server from the night before. Obviously I was expecting to be greeted with kindness and listening ears to place my order. Unfortunately I was immediately "disclaimed" that per "management" "People need to pay they bill" ...
I let the server speak and explain how we got to this topic.. Her sentiments were that when I visited on the 7th there were two people who were at my table who did not "pay" (after further investigation they did not pay because they never received their food after waiting forever so they left). I left first after paying my bill so I had to contact them to see what happened. They explained they never received food and was unsure why the situation was turned that way.
My issue with this situation is that the server was stuck on the objective of chastising me for something totally unrelated to me as she said she recalled me paying for my food... There were several people at my table that were there the previous night yet she felt compelled to confront and chastise me about a bill that had nothing to do with me (a customer who paid in full). She could have pulled me to the side and discussed concerns but she was stuck on making a scene with rhetoric that had no application to me... I have never been so humiliated and embarrassed as a paying customer and public figure..
When I explained to her that I was offended by her approach with the situation. She did not care nor apologize. She just continued to be condescending with no real goal insight.. I was so confused and uncomfortable I did not order and I was STARVING.
As someone in management for a major corporate company I know that "management" did not direct her to approach and attempt to chastise me for something that again had nothing to do with me. Each time she returned to my table she continued to make remarks after I shut her down because again my bill was paid... I told her if the bills were not paid her and management she contact the authorities not me..
She even looked me up and down from the kitchen and when she approached the table several times.
The last time she approached my table she said she would "stab me with a fork" after I refused to continue listening to her smart nice nasty remarks regarding SOMEONE ELSES BILL...Her behavior was noticed by not only my table but others in the building as well.
At that time I exited the building because I could see that this whole thing was personal for whatever reasoning and so could those who were sitting with me. She apologized to them after I left which left them confused since she had been so aggressive with ME since the beginning. I never once received an apology...
I am seeking legal action for her behavior both criminal and civil..
I will never visit this establishment again as long as she is employed and I hope...

It must have been a different cook, but everything was god-aweful. If it wasn't burnt it was underdone. Grits were watery, lumpy and had a chemical-like taste. The pancakes were very thin and burnt. Waffles burnt. French toast? Burnt again. Eggs were extra runny and not done. Wife, kids, and I all disliked our food to the point that we didn't even want to ask for anything else because it was all so terrible. We left hungry and never went back. I also ended up getting sick in the evening and it lasted several days. So you decide. You will have a great or a terrible visit. My original review is below.
Original 5 Star Review: Today we tried this spot. It is kind of reminds me of a Waffle House, but maybe cleaner and less dreary. Our server was Katy. She was the sweetest, nicest server you could ask for. She really made our dining experience that much better. We ate waffles, pancakes, French toast, bacon, grits, meat omelet, coffee, etc. Everything was hot and delicious. We will definitely...
Read moreThe food was ok. I asked for crispy bacon and was given tiny pieces of raw like bacon. It was nasty. The service was horrible. The waitress was forever getting to my table with 3 people in the entire restaurant. Then I had to overhear her and another waitress complain about how much they made in tips today. Then she disappeared and never returned back to my table to refill drink, ask if everything was ok, or if I needed anything else. I then realized why her tips were so low. I also had to hear the loud talking cook complain about another cook and something was going to be their problem, not his. Then another waitress checked me out at the register and I had to tell her what I ordered because I was told my waitress was outside smoking a cigarette. I know this restaurant is not high end but take some pride in your work and give the customer basic attention that they would expect going out to eat. I will never return to this establishment again and will warn others not to as well. Btw... even after the horrible service and waitress disappearing. I still left a 5 dollar tip on...
