This McDonald's location in Lambertville, MI is truly the worst McDonald's I've ever been to!
We came to the drive-thru at around 8:00 on a Sunday evening, just to get some chicken nuggets and fries to hold us over during a long trip.
The first impression was that the drive-thru menu screen wasn't working; it was flashing on and off & looked scrambled or pixelated, so I had to ask about the quantity nuggets come in.
We got to the pay window; a spaced-out looking guy took our money without any of the expected customer courtesy skills. Oh well....
Got to the pickup window, and another less-than-professional person handed us our order, once again without any people skills whatsoever. I tried a couple fries, and they were cold. Told the girl that I would like hot fries and she unapologetically told me to pull forward and wait. Pulled forward and waited 15 minutes...cars were moving through the drive-thru, apparently getting their orders. Meanwhile, I tasted the chicken nuggets...cold and sorta hard, like they'd been sitting for a long time. Eventually, I figured they forgot about me, so I went inside, and explained to another girl my situation. Without apology, she turned to grab some fries that were obviously sitting for some time. I explained that I wanted fries that have just come up...she argued with me that there's a heat lamp that keeps them warm.
At that point, I asked to speak to a manager...unfortunately, the manager is the spaced-out drive-thru guy. Great. I explained all over again, and he just had a blank look and said "what do you want me to do?" Um...hot fries?! I also told him about the chicken nuggets being cold, and assumed (!) he'd take care of that too. I watched him place some fresh fries in the fry basket, and I waited for them to be ready. He boxed them up and handed the bag to me with nary a "sorry 'bout that"; just "here ya go". Got to the car, and guess what, no nuggets.
In summary, a whole crew of slovenly-looking employees with zero people skils, zero professionalism, and zero concern for the customer. I couldn't have hired worse employees if I went looking for 'em!
Oh, while waiting, we were seeing the inside of the restaurant; the glass entrance doors were quite literally filthy and smudgy. Glad I didn't have to use...
Read moreWorst McDonalds, I can definitely see why they have such a bad rep around town. I went in this evening because it was raining and I couldn't take my kids to the park like I'd planned and I still wanted to get them out of the house but being a Sunday evening, choices were limited. I figured I'd take them to this McDonald's for mcflurries and the play place. We walked in and I went to order the mcflurries and the cashier smirked at me and pointed at the ice cream machine and said it was down for cleaning. How typical. There was a man with two kids behind me also banking on ice cream, so it was unfortunate. I then decided just to get them a 3 pack of cookies and play for a bit anyway. I ordered and went to wait ... and I waited and waited. They had just brought up a fresh tray of cookies when I put my order in and they gave a pack to a kid and told him to be careful eating them because they were so soft they would fall apart, I didn't think anything of it though at the time. After standing at the counter waiting and watching other people get their orders while mine stood up on the screen still, I asked why I couldn't just get my 3 pack of cookies and go because my kids were getting rowdy waiting to play and I didn't feel like standing at the counter any longer just for 3 cookies that were sitting on the counter right front of me in the holder. I got the cookies and we went back to the play area and as I pulled the cookies out of the pack they literally fell apart in my hands and got melted chocolate and cookie dough everywhere. Apparently the people in front of us had ordered them extra soft and they made the entire batch that way. So I was given 3 under-cooked and extremely soft and messy cookies to split with 2 toddlers. Awesome. Thankfully I brought and wipes with us. Horrible service,...
Read moreWent in for breakfast with my family Sunday. The guy that put my order together may have been the manager, not sure, he had a tattoo on his neck. That's not the issue, my son is a tattoo artist. My problem was as I gave my order to the girl at the counter, he was just coming in from outside with a bag in his hand and put the bag down (didn't wash his hands) and started getting my order together. The hash browns were under the warmer in the package sitting in the little holder like the french fries are. He picked up my daughter's hash browns by grabbing them from the top so the top of the hash browns was touching the palm of his hand. Totally killed my appetite. Some workers DO grab fries or hash browns from the side of the bag or container, however, I have noticed that often they are grabbed from the top. Not only is it unsanitary for all of the French fries I'm going to be putting in my mouth to touch the palm of someone's hand, I would think the workers wouldn't want the hot greasy fries/hash browns touching their palms. I asked the girl at the counter if I can get a new hash brown, which she gave me but I suggest ppl pay attention to how your food is handled. That is how germs and sickness is spread. This happens often...
