Stopped in here on our way home from an event in Bedford. Another restaurant had a very long wait for seating, so we ended up at this establishment. I was actually reluctant to go in, it is so sparse and bare bones. It reminded me of the places we had for restaurants when I lived very rural Missouri, ie: Morton buildings full of generic tables, chairs and generic food purchased from food suppliers and thrown in a fryer. My clue should have been that we were there on a Saturday night at dinnertime hour and the place was almost empty of customers. I was correct. I ordered the pulled pork dinner. The pork was nice and moist and had flavor. It was served with generic hush puppies and I ordered macaroni salad as a side. At first I thought it would be tasty, it had lots of celery and diced tomatoes. But it was loaded with way too much mayonnaise and no seasonings at all. I could not finish it. We also ordered onion rings as appetizer. They were ok, not greasy, basic rings. The sauce was a pink sauce which I suspected was catsup and mayo.. again no flavor, no spice. My partner got a jalapeno chicken sandwich. The chicken was good, but it was overloaded with jalapeno slices. A little jalapeno goes a long way. He loves spicy food, but this was too much even for him. So he picked off at least 8 slices. He ordered applesauce as his side. It was served as a single serve packaged cup. Presentation of his food was not a strong point. We also ordered boneless chicken wings for us and as a treat for our doggy traveling with us. They were also unremarkable. Light breading, no flavor. We did not partake of the salad bar so I can't say anything about that. But there was another steam table which looked like it had soups. Service was good though. Our Server was attentive and friendly. Prices were also fairly high for what we got. My pulled pork was 13.00 and partner's sandwich was around 12.00. (sandwiches come with one side) Definitely NOT worth the prices they were charging. Our bill came to around $52. To be fair, maybe their burgers or wraps, or soups are their strong suit. But it sure wasn't for the...
Read moreNever visited the original location, so this was my first time at this Bedford eatery. Ample on street and off street parking. Interior has a two tier layout, with the bar being on the lower level. ABC on, serving beer, wine, and mixed drinks. We ordered the BBQ Bacon Burger and the Chicken Tenders, with fries as a side for both. The burger was very flavorful and cooked to a nice medium temp, which is nice to see. So many burgers are only available medium well, and usually closer to well done. Very tender and tasty, with a large serving of fresh cut fries. Chicken Tenders were also excellent. Tender chicken with a perfectly cooked and tasty light batter, cooked perfectly. A plus was the homemade ranch dipping sauce, with a nice delicious dill touch. Lauren, the owner, was our server for the evening, and was very friendly and efficient. A very positive first visit. Hopefully downtown Bedford will embrace this new location, and enjoy some great new choices for food...
Read moreI love this place. I take my family here every 2 weeks or so. My wife and I frequent here for a cheap date and we also meet up with friends once a month or so here. I love their bloody marys, their inferno burger, their fries[malt vinegar on every table yum], and the service is amazing. This restaurant also features a "kids eat free" night with the purchase of 1 adult entree per kid. I dont know the schedule or frequency of this but its great for my wallet. The prices are already reasonable anyway, but it encourages me to buy another drink or even a dessert.
The owners of this establishment are fantastic. They spent their life savings to start the business and I love being able to...
