Elba Butcher Shoppe — Local services in Bedford

I have shopped at Vista in Bedford for many years when I am in town. However, in the past year or so, I have been mischarged more than once. I live in Buchanan, so it is a long ride for me to return to the store to get a refund. Also, I have found that some cashiers are quite unfriendly and challenging. For example, I was at the store yesterday and was charged twice or overcharged for some items. The cashier took it upon herself to charge me twice for a bunch of beets because she thought I had two bunches rather than the one. I explained that the bunch I had was banded as one bunch, not two. I love to stop in at Vista Foods whenever I am in downtown Bedford. Their prices are often better than the other local groceries. We eat LOTS of produce and Vista often has locally grown. If I am cooking things like soup or stew, the significantly cheaper veggies that are not perfect LOOKING, but that are fresh work just fine. It is not a place I could buy all my groceries because they only carry basic foods, no specialty products like olive "bars" or hummus or vegan faux foods. Hate it now new owners new employees who are self centered and could care less about the customers. Today to start off our visit was standing over near the lottery deli area stood there for 5 min before another couple walk up, girl comes down from the office cashes their lottery ticket and walks off ignoring us. So we gave up on what where planning on getting went and picked up a couple of items from in the store we needed them the cashier didn't understand that if something is 2 for $4 you can charge $2.99 each it's sad to say but they have lost a customer who has been going there 20 + years after our last...
