We went in for the first time in a while and the menu has changed (they took away having a side with your meal, now that costs extra) as well as the way you order... in order to get anything, you have to go up to the bar, no servers anymore. We really wanted to just have a relaxing evening and treat ourselves for once. It's more work to eat here and have a beer than it is worth. The way it is now set up is, you go in and sit where you would like and have to walk up to the bar to order everything. We ordered our drinks and appetizers at the bar, waited for that and in the middle of eating our appetizer, we had to get back up to order our food, then we had to go to the bar for refills on our waters, get silverware, napkins etc.. If we wanted mid food where we had to serve ourselves, we would have just gone to cookout or mission BBQ. We would have sat at the bar to be served if the bar stools weren't so uncomfortable as well. They had no backs to them and were small and uncomfy. My food was okay, I got a pulled pork sandwich and a side of Mac and Cheese. My partner got a pulled chicken sandwich, it was super dry and didn't have enough buffalo sauce at all and there was no buffalo sauce in the box of sauces we grabbed and we were just sick of having to get up to ask for things at that point. Will not be back again. I miss the days where you could just come here and be waited on and have a nice, enjoyable, & chill experience. Horrible business decision to change your service to this. Too much work to keep getting up after getting off work to chill and unwind. Will not be back until it goes back to...
Read moreFirst impression was very disappointing. Tonight was my first time at Beale's. I was really looking forward to going. First we called to make reservations. They said we didn't need reservations. It was POURING down raining! There was a huge river at the bottom of the stairs to enter the building. Nobody was at the host stand so we waited for the lady to come greet us. As we all know there is a COVID restrictions. We all had our mask on! However, the way the lady handled the entire situation was awful. We were told there was a 25 to 30 minute wait and were informed that we had to wait in our cars. Our clothes were SOAKED and we were trying to figure out who was going to pull the car around, as we stepped outside. My husband took his mask off because we were OUTSIDE. A worker came to the door and asked "do we want to stay on the waiting list?" we said yes. The employee then said to my husband "Sir even though your outside you need a mask on!" shut the door and walked away. They were VERY rude! I will not be back or support this business. I will be sharing this experience with others in the community. Thank you.
UPDATE whoever responded to our reviews must not know what happen. We all had mask on. Your host even commented how she liked my mask. You made a comment back to my brother post about someone cussing you out and not being polite. You are wrong. Nobody was cussed out. Your worker was rude. You cannot force anyone to ware a mask outside! We left because your "manager" was highly disrespectful. Learn how to carry yourself with some type of professionalism when your in...
Read moreAs a local resident and local business supporter, I regret leaving this review. Our first and only experience with Beale's was very disappointing. Our party was waiting outside in the car (in order to help with Covid regulations) and I walked inside to ask how long the wait would be for a party of 14. I was compliant with guidelines (maintained social distancing from the hostess stand while wearing a mask) and I was told our party would be unable to eat because we had over 10 people. I did not know that groups of over 10 could not eat together and we have not encountered this during the pandemic. We eat together almost every weekend since we have been in the current phase (most of us are siblings). I kindly offered to split up our group and the hostess said that was not an option. I walked away from the hostess stand while another member of our group asked to get on the waiting list for 8. The hostess said "You cannot eat here, I know you are with the big party." She was extremely rude and not apologetic at all. We then left and went to a restaurant right down the road where we were all seated together without a problem. I guess I am just confused as to why we were denied service. Again, I am disappointed in what happened, but none of us will be returning here to eat.
In Executive Order 72 Section II.A. pertaining to Restaurants, Dining Establishments, Food Courts, Breweries, Microbreweries, Distilleries, Wineries, and Tasting Rooms, which is in effect until Feb, 21,21 there is nothing stating that parties of over 10 cannot...
