Ive never had an experience like this and normally my reviews are of good food and quality service. This was nothing like that.
I ordered The Everything Breakfast Skillet. I asked for more Hollandaise sauce and extra napkins. The sauce was brought to me in a black, round, small container without a lid (removed by the server who brought it to me or the cook, I am not sure), the same size as Taco Bells sauce containers, ☆and there was a very apparent white fuzzy ball of mold on it. I did not take a picture though I should have because I would include it in this review. I walked it back to the doorway of the kitchen, I asked what it was (knowing good and well what it was) and the server said, "OH, it's just from not being completely mixed." I said, this is most definitely mold. The cook, looked at it, pitched it and made me a new cup and heated it up. What? To disguise the mold?! I took it but I did not use it. Who's to say THAT container was free and clear? No one.
The server we had was in training. I can not give her grief for her lack of checking on our table. Not refilling our drinks, nor 1 of our 4 orders not being completed. Twice 1 of our 4 orders came to the table without being complete. We did not tip. The bill was $82 and some change. I can not believe the lack of quality and service we experienced here. It was unreal! I think the incomplete meal and lack of water refills (asked for twice) should have resulted in discounting the 1 meal Altogether, but no. Full price.
The woman to check us out said I'll be right with you. A loud crash came from the kitchen of glass shattering as we stood waiting to pay the bill, and the cook come out to check us out instead of the woman. Personally, I debated on just walking out without paying the bill. Idk who is at fault for the mold, but NO MOLD should be in a kitchen. Period. Something more should have been done. We ate our food anyway. No eggs were cooked to order(over easy became over medium, over medium became scrambled eggs- 2 seperate orders) Asked for extra lemon for 1 water, didnt get it. Asked for refills on the water. Didn't get it until our receipt had been brought to the table. And our to go bag, ordered for the end of the meal to take home to one family member (the 4th meal) was brought to our table during the meal. This place has drastically gone down hill. I am speaking for a family that is easy going and we tip well. NO TIPS...
Read moreMy daughter took us out for a ladies day out for Mother's day. We went on the Tuesday after. Went to lunch and it was a disaster! We had to wait to be seated and than sat by the table next to the kitchen. The restaurant had many many tables elsewhere. We asked to be moved. We ordered and our appetizer came out with our food. The server said as she put our food down "sorry about this. I don't know why this came out with everything else" and left. My Mother's soup was cold. Not cool but cold. I had a large hair that had been cooked into my food. My daughter's eggs were cold and her hashbrowns we undercooked and cold in the middle. We had to flag our server over after waiting about 7 to 10 mins for the normal how is you food stop. We told her and she said sorry and took my mother's soup to microwave. She did nothing about the hair in my food or my daughter's cold food. She brought the soup back, now cool, and I said something about the hair in my food again. She cut me off and said she would send the manager over. He saw the hair and took my food away. He did ask if I wanted anything else. By this time we had been there over 30 mins so I declined. My poor mother was cut off and left with her soup. Nothing was said about my daughter's food either. My daughter was becoming frustrated as our server just avoided our table and she felt very uncomfortable with all the food sitting around and no one eating. She had to seek the manager out and informed him we would only be paying for the food we had eaten. She did eat 3 pancakes so that is what she paid for. My mother is an insulin dependent diabetic so she was feeling lightheaded because she had taken her insulin before entering the restaurant. We had to go across the street where McDonald's was nice enough to hurry us a few packs of honey and an orange juice. I will never go there again! It was one of the very worst experiences I have ever had in and...
Read moreWent for breakfast and ordered 2 steamed eggs (like poached) on sourdough toast with hash browns and a piece of sausage. Our server was great, but the manager was cooking and he needs to be taught how to cook. After 40 minutes mine and my friend's breakfast came out, and I had 2 steamed eggs on biscuits, a blackened piece of sausage and no hash browns. I had to send it back. Our server took it back to the kitchen and then after 10 minutes came back with the right combo of food. My sourdough toast was barely toasted and was tough to cut and chewy, my sausage patty was blackened and very chewy and void of flavor; it was like eating a piece of black pudding one would get in the UK. The hash browns were too cooked as they were crunchy and hard. I don't know why the manager was doing most of the cooking as there a cook there, and while they were steady/ busy, the place wasn't packed or slammed. The two stars for service had to do with the kitchen as our server was great. The two stars for atmosphere was for appearance. Whomever picked that color of blue for the walls has no experience with color or basic decorating. The restaurant wasn't very clean, went to sit near cashier area to wait on a table, and there were large floor mats sitting on both seats in waiting area which should've been put on the floor where they belong when they first opened, and your biscuit gravy is super salty; that's literally all I could taste was salt, and I'm not a salt person. One final word, this is part of a chain, but in Indiana why use Heinz ketchup? You should be using Red Gold ketchup which is made in Madison...
