Golden Corral Buffet & Grill — Restaurant in Bedford

Sad to say I can only give 3 stars. To start with, the croutons on the salad bar were stale, very soft no crunch at all. Almost felt damp. Second, lots of things seemed to have liquid smoke or equivalent, and was over used. Thirdly, The fried chicken was very greasy. The Fourth thing and probally the biggest disappointment for me was the new honey margarine that came with the rolls. It tasted nothing like the honey butter spread they used to serve. It tasted fake almost a plastic taste. I hate having to leave a poor review for this place, because it used to be tops and if I could have reviewed on a previous visit probally a year ago, I would have given this place 4 if not 5 stars. I'm just wondering why the decline in quality. However on a positive note the pot roast was very good, and the dessert bar was wonderful. Our server was pleasant. The cleanliness was ok, but not to the standard it was in previous visits. The bathroom floor was slick, greasy feeling.We ate not sure we will be back again. With so many places to chose from, why return to a place when you might or might not have a pleasant experience. On a side note, my husband wants to know if they cooked the fried chicken in Castor oil, since he hasn't been able to stay out of the restroom after leaving there. This place sucks for veterans I paid $30 for me and a lady of 95 years old I do not even get my mail back to my table before they were kicking me out so I lost $30 to Golden corral they suck I had promoted them before saying that they were good but they are really bad right now they do not want me coming back in the store all because I was taking pictures inside and I asked a waitress if I could take a picture of her and she agreed I only took one picture of her and that's it and I posted it on Facebook just because of that I was kicked out of there without receiving my meal thank goodness that casa brava is next door because they gave me a meal after I reported to the police that I was robbed of $30 from Golden corral and the cops would do nothing help me receive my money back protect and serve I don't think so Bedford Police department you suck too can't help a veteran get his meal from a place he paid for it if you paid for a meal and someone kick you out without receiving it isn't that a theft I did nothing wrong that day absolutely nothing just wondering if I can give no stars as a rating I'll try that I paid for two people and the bill was over $40 are you guys trying to make a killing on Sundays or is the meal so much better on Sundays then the other days. And that was with a senior discount included...

The food might have been good, but it turned to paste in my mouth due to the negative harrassment received from the manager/owner. We entered with a Service dog, who has amazed staff at every place from 5 star restaurants and hotels, to airline personnel and even owners of hot dog stands and fish shacks. The dog is well behaved and highly trained. I have NEVER been subjected to the kind of attitude and berating from anyone that this man subjected me to regarding what he felt was out of line with my device dog. He waited until my companion was not present and then proceeded to approach me in a threatening and angry manner about the dog. I think it would have been ok...even if still against the Americans with Disabilities Act...if he had approached me in a calm and rational way rather than in anger swinging his hands around and being loud. This is a disgusting way to treat patrons when you have no concept of what they suffer from. Not only will I never eat there again, but they effectively ruined golden corral everywhere for me and also for my companion. I should sue but I don't think I have the stomach for it.
