Hadn't been here since before COVID. I ordered fajitas and asked if in place of pico de gallo, if I could have guac, like a tablespoon, and they were "NO", saying guac is expensive, and if I wanted guac, that I would have to pay an extra $7.00. Our food comes out and the rice was not Spanish rice; it was instant rice with coloring; literally, and it had no flavor. With my fajitas, all I could taste was salt. I didn't eat much of my food and took it home. It still tastes like pure salt. While we were dining there was a male employee standing against a wall and was doing whatever on his smart phone; who knows what his position is, he was dressed in black from head to toe, and there was a waitress that sat behind my friend or she'd sit at a table next to the standing man. I'll never go there again. They used to be great, but are over priced, and poor service, and poor quality. You get better service, and better food at two other Mexican...
Read moreI wondered why the parking lot was almost empty. Well it’s been awhile sense we have ate here was looking forward to a Steak Casa Brava, they no longer have it, new menu was hard to read. But still looked forward to a good meal with my sweetheart. The T-bone they brought me had no favor “at all” it was so tough I couldn’t hardly cut it, my wife got the fajitas, all you could taste was oil & the Chicken had no favor at all except the oil it made my stomach turn just tasting it. The waiter was great! But instead of saying we are sorry they still charged me $8.90 for 1 pop and the chips and cheese. This is the reason I’m posting the review! I was fully inspecting to pay 50. For a great meal! And it was no fault of the waiter so I still tipped him 20. So for 28.90 I got a screwed! We will never be back. I highly suggest you drive a bit farther and go to Mitchell’s El compadre. They are...
Read moreThis is going to be short. EAT HERE! (Just kidding) I wish I lived closer so I could go regularly. The restaurant is clean and nicely done. The staff is excellent and attentive. The food is outstanding with only one fault that I saw: the guacamole dip was salty. Very salty. I sent it back. Maybe it was just a bad batch. In its defense, it has diced jalapenos, onion and tomato instead of the "standard" avocado and seasonings you often see. The fillings in the tacos, chalupas, tamales, and enchiladas were flavorful. The sauce they use is not the standard "red sauce" you find in many Mexican places. It was absolutely delicious. The portions were enormous! We got a "side order" of steak. You could make a meal of it alone. If you want some good food at reasonable prices you ought to stop in...
