Hate to even give one star. We wanted 2 rooms, one king and a room with double beds. Our daughter and family got there first and got a room with a King bed. We went to the desk and told them that we need a room with double bed so they traded out her room and she got another King room. They changed that out and did get a double bed room. We went out for a while and when we came back to go to bed, she found a bedbug on a pillow. She wanted her money back, she did pay cash for the room and the man at the desk offered her another room which she didn't want. If one room has bedbugs then they all probably have them. He said he couldn't give her money back because that wasn't the room she paid for. If they had gotten all of the reservation correct in the 1st place none of this would have been an issue. It took a lot of screaming and threats to get the idiot at the desk to give her money back for the room. Customer service was nowhere to be found. He didn't know how to give her money back because they were so incompetent that they had to give her 3 different rooms before she got a room with double beds and kept telling her that he COULDN'T give her money back. What should have happened was for him to let her know that he wasn't sure how to do the transaction, but if she could be patient for a few minutes he would figure it out. It was a ruined trip, she and her family just left in the middle of the night and went home. She immediately washed all of the clothing that they took because who knows how many bedbugs she took home with her. I checked my pillows and mattress and did not see any sign of bedbugs and my husband didn't want to make the 2 1/2 hour trip home at 1:30 in the morning so we stayed. The ceiling in our room had a big crack across it and a bad patch job. When we came back in that night there was a Mexican sitting out front of the hotel with his boom box playing Mexican music of some kind (extremely too loud for a place of business). The next morning he Mexican and 3 others were at the breakfast bar. I am assuming that they were working there in some compacity since when all of the drama was going on about the bedbugs, one of the Mexicans was trying to get in a back door that was locked. We had 2 bath towels, 2 wash cloths and 2 hand towels. Not nearly enough linen. When I shower and wash my hair I like a towel for my hair as well as one to dry with. Shower had moldy looking caulk. I will not stay at a Quality...
Read moreTo anyone considering a stay at this hotel, I highly recommend an inspection of the room before booking as the health department needs to do a thorough inspection of this Quality Inn asap. There was mold on the ceiling, woodwork, shower walls, AC, tile grout, sink, and bathroom vent. The mold above the shower was by far the worst part of the room but I will spare you your lunch by not posting that picture. While the majority of the room looked clean at my 1:00 am check-in, the morning daylight exposed some major health concerns. I hope management takes a hard look at their quality control and checks their rooms before a guest enters.
Another guest two weeks before me wrote a review that experienced more mold than I did by the looks of their pictures. They got the common response from the Google review manager that it’s an “unusual situation” and will be “forwarded to management.” Apparently, upper management has not been contacted and has done nothing to remove the mold. What could have remained an unusual situation has become a repeating problem.
While our friends who stayed in the room next door had a mold-free bathroom, their ceiling, door, AC, and hairdryer cord had mold growing on them. Also, their AC unit wasn’t working correctly but at 1:00 am what are you going to do when the receptionist says there are no other available rooms and other hotels are booked solid?
UPDATE - By Sunday evening I had a scratchy throat and Monday I woke up to a full-blown sinus infection. I had to take Monday off to get an appointment for an antibiotic. My doctor said it is likely from breathing in mold spores. I have no proof that it was from the mold in the hotel but I was perfectly well before I walked in. The mold on the ceiling was above the bed I slept in next to the AC unit which was likely circulating spores. An affordable night’s rest turned into a...

I was told that "around back" was the best way to get to my room. The parking lot there was very trashy. The door to the hotel was propped open. ANYBODY could have walked in..... this is a safety issue. [the next 2 days the door was closed and locked with only keycard entry].
My room seemed to have a stink about it. Opening the bathroom door exposed the source of the smell. NOT body functions stink,,,,,,,,, maybe from wet room being closed up???? Door could only be wide open (and then you could not get to the exit door) or completely closed..... would not stay ajar. Leaving the bathroom door open and turning the A.C. on high took care of the odor.
Room had a back door exit to outside. Much to my horror, that door was UNLOCKED when I arrived. Rooms on either side had charcoal grills and coolers by the doors indicating long term guests. I shutter to think that somebody could have easily been using the room, or worse in there when I arrived. Management definitely needs to redefine guest safety!! Annnddd, the grass (weeds) around these doors and the walkways was over a foot tall.
I will say that between the smell and safety, I did an extra hard inspection and did find the room to be clean.
Breakfast was okay (just okay), and the lady worked hard to keep it stocked and clean, but on Sunday the hotel was full and the breakfast area was totally swamped. Poor lady was running herself ragged just keeping the area stocked with moderately warm food and everything else. People had to wait for food, plates,...
