UPDATE! JAN 2023: I was really hungry for something sweet--and I really hope my doctor doesn't read reviews, as I'm supposed to steer clear of sweets. Anywho... I was pleasantly surprised by my second try of this place. Got a cupcake (vanilla with an overly-generous amount of frosting most of which I scraped off--but since too much is always better than not enough IMHO, I didn't mind at all). The main seating area was much cleaner than last time and it actually smelled like a bakery instead of musty socks (I think they may just have left a used mop out last time). So, I'm upgrading stars to four (based on the improved food quality and cleanliness. This place is very much one that will thrive on its attention to detail and customer service. That said, I'm bewildered by the nasty comments/reviews about the owner's political views. Politics has nothing to do with whether someone is a good baker or not. I and others may not share her political views, but that's beside the point. It's a bakery! Go for a cupcake and get the fabulous coffee while there. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Pricing: Their prices are still in the higher than even the above-average range, but these days, where can you go and pay $2.00 or even $3.00 for a cupcake anymore? Answer: NO WHERE. Here's my earlier two-star review: It’s a bakery. Heard it was good, but I wasn’t bowled over. Maybe with the reviews my expectations were too high? Pricey also. Stop by to purchase some delicious treats for Christmas from Simply Delicious Bakery. Bought some incredible Oat Raspberry Bars which are the best I have ever had. Then I got an Oatmeal Chocolate Chip cookie which was also Excellent. My last choice was the Double Chocolate Chip Cookie which was Incredible. I have been going there since they opened, and they have never disappointed me. The quality and ingredients that they use are superb. They do not over sweeten their products and the density of their pastries is phenomenal. As always, I will be back there once again. I ordered an apple crumb pie cake and carrot cake from Simply Delicious Bakery for Thanksgiving. My order was ready waiting for me at my given pickup time. They instructed me on how best to store the desserts until ready to be eaten. While picking up, I ordered an iced americano and chocolate chip cookie which if I had eaten in the store I probably would've walked out with a dozen. Their bakery is super convenient to get to and extremely pleasant inside if you'd like to sit and enjoy your food. The desserts were the hit at Thanksgiving. As advertised; Simply Delicious. I will certainly be ordering from them again for our next family...
