El Mariachi Mexican Restaurant Beech Grove — Restaurant in Beech Grove

Although it’s hard to top our favorite Mexican restaurant, will say El Mariachi came close 😎

Being close to home will certainly be bringing us back again soon. Service was excellent, the colorful dining area did seem to have tables far enough apart that you were not on top of other diners.

Was certainly impressed with the nights drink special, a well mixed Bahama Mama.

Although the list of great starters looked wonderful, we went straight to entrees. The salsa definitely noteworthy if not the chips.

The Asado Burrito with steak and onions was extremely tasty and well sized. I also enjoyed the chorizo street taco. Their chorizo had a great flavor compared to so many other restaurants, that are served very bland.

I enjoyed the menu selection as they had some very interesting plates that you do not see at other restaurants.

I do find the review that had them dissatisfied with one plate served with rice and beans while theirs was not. The menu is a pretty descriptive read and there is always the option to clarify with your server.

Would definitely recommend you stop in yourself and see what El Mariachi...

I was so in the mood for some delicious fajitas, I ordered the Hawaiian fajitas when they came to the table there were no shrimp in them, so I asked for a menu to verify if shrimp came with the fajitas I ordered, and before I could tell the waitress of the mistake the chef 👨‍🍳 was bringing them to me. It was only because I asked for the menu the shrimp were brought to the table, because they did not say to me the shrimp were coming later. The beef was a few small slivers of beef, I fo mean small and few, the same with the chicken. If you love onions 🌰 this is the plate to order, because that was about all that was included. The desert was awful, what is usually a crispy delight was chewy, not to mention they have 3 flavors they offer, waitress didn't ask what one we wanted, brought out the one they wanted, and we were told the picked the one they wanted because they had more of it available. I dare do not recommend this place for your Mexican grave at all....

I'm not one to write reviews but this time I have to after being screwed over by this restaurant so many times.Everytime I go to this restaurant my order has been incorrect. Not to mention I order extras that are never on the entree but yet I paid for the extras. This time not only did they not put the extras the entree was not made correctly to begin with. I asked before I left to make sure it was correct and they assured me yes. Well this time I spent $8 extra on items I never received. They will rip you off at their first chance! The food isn't that great. I only have been going there because it's local. Never again!!!!! They rip you off!!! Also they refuse to make it right when you complain.
