I hope the owner of this franchise sees these bad reviews and take it into account how bad the service is here. The little man cashier guy has a look on his face where he look like he dont want to be there. Okay that fine but don’t charge me an extra $0.50 for no reason, sneaky and very slick. I still got my receipt just in case. Not to long ago I went to order for my family. Specifically told him the pieces that I wanted. And I ended up getting whatever the heck they wanted to give me. It is not the first time that I have had bad service come out very disappointed and with last times visit I just pretty much giving up with this place. Thanks Popeyes in Belair keep doing the awful job that you’re doing. I wouldn’t put it past me. If you guys eventually end up having the whole crew changed all they do is joke around with each other. They’re not paying attention to what they’re doing, when you ask for sauce, they look at you like you’re a bother. I don’t appreciate that and everything else with this place. If this is your way of having a successful franchise think again eventually people will catch on to how the service is here and will eventually opt you guys out. I don’t need to Troop all the way over here to get Popeyes plenty of other places that I can go to. It doesn’t seem to bother me, but it would be very convenient to have one that actually does a good job especially when I’m in the shopping district and I get hungry when I’m not in the mood for McDonald’s or any other place I’d rather have some good chicken. Popeye has a good reputation with their food. Yes, it is expensive But the quality food is really good. In my opinion. If this continues, they will definitely be NO Popeyes in there and eventually will see Chick-fil-A taking over expanding their crazy lines that I always see when heading up to Popeyes. They have no problem. They have great customer service so whoever is in charge make sure that you keep up-to-date with your crew in this location and see what is actually going on because there shouldn’t be 1 star something is clearly not right. Enough said I will not be going to this place ever again and that...
Read moreOn Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 5:14pm I went through drive-thru and ordered a 10-piece meal for $22.99 plus tax and was told by cashier (very hard to understand) to drive around and 4 minutes someone would bring chicken out. I waited 15 minutes and went inside at 5:29pm. No one would wait on me. Finally someone did and I said I've been waiting 15 minutes outside, can you just cancel my order and refund me my money. She said "no English" and kept saying "no English". I asked for a manager, and 2 other employees said "no English". I was handed my order and left and returned home a few minutes later to burnt (inedible) chicken which I had to throw out. I called the store back and was hung up on 3 times. There's no customer complaint number, just a chat robot. How can a restaurant be in business when none of the employees speak English? Avoid at all cost! Will be filing a complaint with the Maryland Better Business Bureau for a full refund. If not, then I'll file a small claim in District Court. Oh,and to let you know, inside the restaurant it was filthy especially the counters and floors!
Update 9/14/25: Dear Popeye's Owner (Edwin E.) - how can I contact the restaurant when no one will answer the phone, or say they don't speak English? I will be contacting other Governmental agencies and informing them of what your employees said (about not speaking English) to determine if that's indeed correct; for if so, other investigations need to occur.
Update 10/01/25: The Maryland Better Business Bureau just notified me that both the Popeye's Corporate location in Georgia, as well as the location in Bel Air, Maryland have IGNORED repeated requests. I'm now forced to seek reimbursement in District Court, where in addition to the reimbursement of the food, there's a $138 filing fee, as well as a $60 process server fee for the small claim, which I will be...
Read moreUsually i’m not the type of person to leave a review. i will usually just take the loss and go on about my day but i have to take the time to write this review. this popeyes has got to be one of the WORST popeyes in the franchises. not a single employee at this popeyes speaks english. i had ordered my food, waited in the drive thru for at least 10 minutes to get my order and to have no sauce. i specifically asked for multiple ranch sauces at the WINDOW to make sure that if it was an additional charge (which it really shouldn’t be) that i would have it added to my bill for my food. i pull up to the window and am greeted, i pay for my food and look for my sauce in the bag. no sauce. i ask for it & i am told i have to pay an additional $4.11 for 2 extra sauces… the price is actually outrageous for TWO ranch cups … i stated that i didnt get any and if i could just get the one free one so i could go on about my day, i was beginning to grow frustrated because no one at this establishment could actually understand me and what i needed. i felt as a paying customer i could at least have been given 1 freaking ranch cup… i decided it wasn’t worth the headache and just pulled away from the window. after arriving home & checking the actual contents of food in each combo meal i bought (3 for my and my family) i noticed that the order was COMPLETELY wrong & the chicken was so hard it was quite literally inedible… save your time & just find a...
