I was personally recommended by a friend to Dr. Long at West U wellness about 18 months ago and have since been a happy patient.
I return every few weeks for an adjustment and a massage. I have been to several other chiropractors and I would recommend West U Wellness because of the following:
Above average family oriented customer service: Service is key here and seems to be prioritized over the sales dollar. Also, Dr. Long is always available no matter the time of day, and she will do whatever is in her power to help you get results. Additionally, they do a lot of the leg work with insurance companies to ensure you get the most bang for your buck.
Technology and multiple healing approaches: I have been to several other chiropractors and they have a singular approach: adjustments. This is a wellness center, and they have the capability to apply multiple technologies: ultrasound, massage, decompression, etc. to help fix your issues.
Partially reimbursed Massages - West U wellness has some really good masseuses and they do the legwork with your insurance company for you to get a partial reimbursement on them.
My only negative here is the amount of paperwork you have to fill out each time you visit. However, to their credit I don't think this is in their control and this is standard practice for any doctor you visit these days.
In conclusion, I would definitely recommend West U Wellness center to friends and family as a part of their minimally invasive wellness program in addition to other methods (e.g. physical therapy).
Note: From experience, I strongly recommend if you experience pain for longer than several weeks plunk down to get the MRI to find the root cause of your problem. It will save you time, money, and maybe pain in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAbsolutely love my visits to West U Wellness! I was referred to Dr Long at West U Wellness by my sister who was a patient of Dr Longās, and have been a patient of hers since 2014 (thatās ten whole years!) Although I have not been a consistent patient over the years, I really love that no matter how long itās been since my last visit, Dr Long always greets me with the warmest welcome and biggest smile and always remembers even the smallest details about my care and life. Itās difficult to find someone who cares this much about all of her patients, and who always goes above and beyond to help them feel better physically and mentally. As a years long patient, I have been to Dr Long for adjustments after beginning my career as a Physical therapist assistant, learning that my body needs to be cared for to continue to care for my patients. Throughout lifeās transitions, Iāve also visited during my two pregnancies, Dr Long is the only chiropractor I will trust while my body is developing a tiny human. During my current pregnancy, I reached out to her once again for adjustments to alleviate pain stemming from my pelvis. Dr Long not only does amazing work with her adjustments, but also has such an wealth of information and knowledge to share with me during my visits. This pregnancy , I have also started prenatal massage with Stephanie who is amazing. In the past, I have also received E-stim treatments and really love the new testing methods the clinic has integrated because they give me a complete visual of where my body is needing help. I will continue to look forward to my visits with West U Wellness and their team throughout my next...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI absolutely loved my first time coming to this office for a prenatal chiropractic visit! The staff is very nice and welcoming. The ambiance of the waiting room is very calming and I love their decor. They have soft spa music playing and a tea station.
One of the staff members took me into a room to do a few intake tests. I changed into a gown and she provided privacy while I did so. She tested my back with these probes to see where I had inflammation and did a stress response test.
Then I was taken to another exam room to see Dr. Burk. She is very energetic and explains things well in detail. She asked me a few background questions first about my medical history, any past injuries and previous chiropractic history. I showed her a few reports of prior imaging that I've had done before. After that we did my adjustments and she explained along the way what she saw and what the treatment was that she was doing. She accommodated my belly with a special pillow so that I could lie flat face down for my back adjustment and protect baby. She used a certain equipment that let her adjust my spine without putting that much pressure. My primary reason for coming was to have better hip alignment to prepare me for delivery in a few months.
Overall I really enjoyed my first visit here. I'll have to see how my body adjustments do to say how often I will come.
They do not take insurance, so everything is self-pay but it was worth it. The first exam is always going to be the most expensive and the subsequent visits will be a little cheaper. They do offer prenatal massages here as well, but IMO a...
