On Sunday, August 16th, prior to coming I called to verify whether or not they had sugar free anything. My girlfriend is keto and doesnt eat sugar. A man answered and when prompted by my question seemed aggravated that I would even ask. He said yes they have vanilla. Foolishly, we decided to come give it a try since they had sugar free vanilla. We both ordered and the two young kids behind the glass were super helpful and courteous. Then while paying, I remembered that a friend had told me they did military discounts. So I asked the man, who I assume was this person I talked to on the phone, if they gave military discounts. A question to which he scoffed and asked me for id, I promptly presented him with my florida driver's liscense which has my veteran badge on it. This man seemed skeptical, I have tats and gauges, and his demeanor immediately turned negative as he began to rush me while paying and essentially dropped my card and the ice cream in my hand. End of story right? No. Due to covid my girl and I were eating our ice cream in my car and after a couple bites she let out a gagging sound as she had found a small black hair in her ice cream. So now I'm aggravated, im usually pretty patient. I go inside and this guy looks at me and after a while comes over and ask, what do I need, to which I said there was a hair in her ice cream and I'd like another. The man then seemed so frustrated as he grabbed her ice cream from my hand threw it in the garbage and got another, he then said simply "here" and walked away. He did not offer an apology for their unhygienic standards or his behavior. So on a last note if you are a veteran or current military servicemember dont come to this place. The man literally will treat you like a dog. And to everyone else be sure to check your ice cream prior to departure for hairs or god only know what else. I have never had this experience at any ice cream shop in the world I’m 52 and still amazed! I asked for a chocolate milkshake made with vanilla ice cream as I have in that store and every other in the world my entire life. The young man behind the counter said you want a vanilla milkshake. No I would like a chocolate milkshake made with vanilla ice cream ! And once again he replies you want a vanilla milkshake with attitude? Third time I asked again no I would like a chocolate milkshake made with vanilla ice cream and for the third time with even more sarcasm he replied you want a vanilla milkshake? So I decided he must be using ice cream code language so I said go ahead and make it ! As I watched he scooped vanilla ice cream and poured milk in and blended me a vanilla milkshake as he walked tword me I asked do you have chocolate syrup in this store ? If I could have given less stars I would have, I had a very bad experience at this location ordering a birthday cake in advance. They took my order, I paid over the phone and they called me back two days later saying they couldn’t use the non dairy icecream in the cake order. I said ok, called another location which they did and informed this location I would like to cancel my order. They said no problem, three weeks later I never got refunded. I still haven’t and I’ve called multiple times. The one said she was dealing with it from corporate via email and would let me know. I never heard back from her and the other manager said “I wasn’t the one to deal with this, contact the other manager.” I thought that was their job?
