I have loved this place so much but today I called in an order for a double burger with pepperjack cheese, chrispy bacon, extra, extra onions and pickles with tater tots. I told them I had been ill with asthma 2 weeks and needed a good burger. I arrived to pick up my food, paid over $15, she even told me she had told them extra pickles and onions, which I thanked her for remembering. I drove home only to discover no pickles, no onions, no pepperjack cheese. I called her back to explain I was the lady sick with asthma who just picked up my order, which I repeated to her. She said yes, extra pickles and onions. I said yes. I told her my burger had no pickles, onions and no pepperjack cheese. She insisted it did, that they made it correctly. She said sorry but I was quite upset after getting out of bed to go get it. She said what can I do? I said "I'm sick and not going back into the wind again". I asked for the manager. She said she was the manager. I asked if they could write down my name and remake the burger for me next time. She just had no response. I again asked for a manager but never got one. So I thanked her and said I'll post a review and perhaps the owner will reach out. I was so looking forward to the burger...
Read moreI was extremely disappointed with White Cottage. I ordered a small Fresh Blackberry Ice Cream in a sugar cone. The price was outrageous at $4.37 with tax. There was about 3/4 of a cup serving size which equates to $34.96 for a half gallon of ice cream or $69.92 for a gallon. The price did not at all reflect the quality or taste. The blackberry flavor was very dull and there was a strange overpowering after taste that was similar to some kind of generic sugar substitute sweetener. When the employee gave me the total, I almost canceled my order because of the insane price. However, I am a firm believer of "you get what you pay for," so I was hopeful that this ice cream was going to be "to die for" and worth the money. I should have went with my gut instinct. The terrible aftertaste deterred me from finishing my cone and into the trash it went. Even if it was delicious, the price is still highway robbery and they have the audacity to ask for a tip on top of that. I will not be back and I will be sharing my experience so that nobody else wastes their money. I would have rather spent my cash on a gallon of gas or a gallon of Schnucks...
Read moreAbout maybe 2 or 3 years ago. I did a review on white cottage expressing my concerns etc. That review got a reply back I believe from the father/owner. Over the years I have seen him and his son (I believe) etc dedication to the business and I am impressed. That review has now been removed due to the improvement/changes I have witness concerning the establishment. Instead of my wife and children patronizing the business without me as in the past. I since then enjoy white cottage several time a month with my family. The food and treats are still delicious. The dining environment is pleasant. Parking is not bad it's far more space than before still can be congested at times. But that's to be expected when the food and ice cream is so tasty. The Lords hand is truly upon that establishment...They are going to have to expand even more. Nice clean environment despite a few residents that live on Lebanon that let their trash linger and blow all over the place. They are keeping the parking area , outside dining area clean. So I recommend white cottage to anyone looking for a nice family Oriented diner (check...
