If you’re looking for a hidden treasure in Belleville, Sushi Thai is it. This quaint little hole-in-the-wall spot may not have dine-in options, but trust me — the food more than makes up for it. Offering a diverse mix of both sushi and traditional Asian fare, Sushi Thai delivers flavors that rival even high-end establishments. Whether you’re in the mood for expertly prepared sushi or a hearty stir-fry, the menu has something for everyone.
We recently stopped by and were blown away by the Pineapple Fried Rice. Generous chunks of sweet, juicy pineapple were perfectly balanced by the savory notes of stir-fried onions, peppers, and our protein of choice. The rice itself was cooked to perfection — light and fluffy without being greasy or mushy. The seasoning was spot on, with just a touch of heat to keep things interesting without overwhelming the palate.
The sushi was equally impressive. We tried the Green Dragon Roll and the Maki Combo, both of which were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The Green Dragon Roll had the perfect balance of creamy avocado, tender eel, and a drizzle of eel sauce that tied everything together. The Maki Combo was a great way to sample a variety of rolls, each one crafted with precision and bursting with flavor.
Sushi Thai might be small, but it delivers big on taste and quality at an extremely fair price. If you’ve lived in Belleville your whole life and haven’t yet discovered this spot, don’t wait any longer. The combination of fresh ingredients, skillful preparation, and friendly service makes Sushi Thai a true local gem....

We shared 5 rolls between two of us and had about a roll's worth of leftovers- New York, red dragon, crunchy spicy tuna (which was $1 cheaper than the regular spicy tuna, a nice surprise at only $4.95 with jam-packed flavor), fried Philadelphia (with a unique way of frying it- my date said it was the best way he'd ever tried it cooked), and an ebi mango (the freshest mango I've had all season, it was refreshing).
I've experienced in the past from another sushi restaurant that the sushi tastes best when dining in compared to taking out or delivery. Though I haven't dined in here, the sushi is spectacular when taken out. It makes me wonder what it tastes like when dining in. 🤤
I'm sad that my first visit was just last fall (2022) and I missed the opportunity to dine in. Pictures of the interior look super cute and make me feel nostalgic. Hoping that...
Read moreI was really surprised by how amazing the food was here given the location. I had been craving sushi so I wanted something that would not disappoint. After reading some reviews and checking prices, I decided to give Sushi Thai a try. I'm SO glad that we did. Though the inside is fairly small, the food was dynamite. Our service was fast and our food was fresh and delicious. I've had sushi from all over the states, including costal states, and this was some of the best I've had. The plates were beautiful as you can see care was put into the presentation. We ordered 5 rolls and each were fantastic. Our waitress was very kind and suggested the Belleville Roll which was very tasty. I'm glad we gave this hole in the wall a try because it...
