Was very disappointed with this visit. I have Celiac's and like to come here because they have the BEST gluten free buns and the staff is normally careful and courteous.. the staff this visit, however, were not very concerned with being careful or with my well being. I ordered fries, which at this location I have been told they have a seperate fryer for their fries which is why I ordered some. It came with cheese curds mixed in. I asked if I could get new fries since this would most definitely make me sick (I have had to send my fries back before because employees tend to put them with my partner's burger who doesn't like fries. It has never been an issue before when I have had to exchange them for a fresh bag due to the cross-contamination). The kid (who seemed pretty new) took them back, tho he did not seem at all happy about having to do so. He then came back with a huff and what I am pretty sure now was the same bag and told me that the kitchen said there is no guarentees there would be no gluten. He reacted as if he had been griped at by the kitchen staff or others at the registers for bringing back food. I ate a couple of fries and waited, which I knew was a risk after that response and my thoughts that this looked like the same bag of fries that I sent back.... I felt sick within a couple of minutes (which is normally how I react to gluten) and I dumped out the fries just to find the same cheese curds I had seen earlier shoved farther back into the bag. I was continuously sick for the rest of the evening and didn't feel good for days. While I know I take a chance every single time I eat outside of my own house - this is completely unacceptable. Purposely putting things that I am allergic to into my food is gross and wrong. Instead of there just being a chance that cross contamination could happen and I would have a reaction - it guaranteed it and was purposely caused. Normally I love this location over others in the area specifically because of how careful they are - but there are obviously a few on your staff who have an issue with being careful for allergies and purposely sabotaged my food. It seems like retraining for staff...
Read moreThe frozen custard is always great. I like that the flavor changes daily because I like trying new flavors with my kids. The burger I had was a little bland... like the meat wasn't seasoned....? The cheese they use is great. Even the cheese sauce, which I usually generally find disgusting, is delicious there.
Update 2/28/22 - I ordered online and picked it up when it was ready. Ordering from here online is super easy, and I appreciate that you can also add condiments to your order, since most places don't seem to have this option when you utilize this method of ordering. I scheduled my order for a certain time, and arrived then for curbside pickup. They were really busy and I had to wait for about 15 minutes from the time I arrived and checked in, to when my order was brought out. One suggestion I'd like to make is this: when you schedule a time to pickup your order, it doesn't state if that's when they'll begin making it, or if it will be ready then. Since it took so long for my order to come out, and they were busy, I still don't know the answer to this. It would be helpful to know for people that are in a rush, and think that by scheduling a time for curbside pickup that they won't have to wait as long. The food was delicious, although my burger patties were kind of "empty" in the centers. I don't know if it was intentional because they're skimping or what, but they were a little overcooked because of this. Still edible, but I probably won't order a burger there again. It's not my first experience of being displeased with their burgers. They're just not that great, in my opinion. The cod is...
Read moreCulver’s makes a great burger service is usually very good. This review got less than 5 because there is a huge disconnect with the drive through. Tonight 4 burger meals were ordered. Mushroom/swiss butter burger and a single butter burgers/cheese plain. The other two were a single cheese butter burger with all the veggies and a double cheese butter burger with all the veggies. Verified on screen - $55+ cost and sent to parking space. We learned that we have to check before we leave then get out of the car to get order corrected. Shame on us for not doing it this time. Both burgers that all the veggies were confirmed on screen had nothing but burger and cheese.
It’s quite evident that someone on the line saw the first plain and didn’t check or QA anything else and made them All the same. Shame on us for not checking. Shame on you for not having QA in place so customers don’t have to do their own QA before leaving the drive through.
This all rests with the shift manager. Either not present or not paying attention to the what the crew is doing. Or not enough training or all the above. Shame on you shift manager. Shame on you GM for not making sure all QA metrics are in place.
I will continue to eat at Culver’s. You’re that good. I will however re think drive through. I don’t feel that this part of your service is worth not getting what we order...
