Sabaidee Thai Lao Cuisine – A Top Thai Gem in the Omaha Area
Sabaidee Thai Lao Cuisine, tucked away at 4102 Twin Creek Dr in Bellevue’s Twin Creek Shopping Center, has quickly earned its place as one of the top Thai restaurants in Omaha. This family-owned gem combines authentic Thai and Lao flavors with a warm, welcoming vibe that feels like a home-cooked meal with a professional touch. The menu is a love letter to Southeast Asian cuisine, featuring fresh, house-made wide rice noodles in dishes like Pad See Ew and Drunken Noodles, alongside staples like Pad Thai, Green Papaya Salad, and rich curries - Red, Green, or Massaman - that deliver just the right kick when you dial in your spice level. Portions are hearty, prices are reasonable (entrees hover around $12-16), and the staff’s friendly, attentive service makes you feel like a regular from the first visit.
Overall, the food is pretty good - vibrant, aromatic, and crafted with high-quality ingredients that transport you to the streets of Bangkok or Vientiane. Standouts include the crispy veggie egg rolls, the perfectly balanced Panang curry, and the mango sticky rice that’s a sweet, satisfying closer. That said, I’ve noticed the food quality can be different depending on the chef, but this is minor and doesn’t detract from the overall experience.
Sabaidee consistently delivers a fantastic dining experience that keeps me coming back. If you’re in the Omaha area and craving authentic Thai-Lao fusion, this spot is a must-visit. It’s a local favorite...
Read moreDrove 20 miles, based on a lot of great reviews. Very disappointed, for the reasons stated below. Food arrived way longer than one would anticipate. I'm very reasonable in my expectations, but the food arrived around 30 minutes after taking our order. Ordered basil fried rice and were given mango fried rice. Service acknowledged that they got it wrong and came back with the right order after another 10 minutes Ordered Panang curry and it was half the portion that other Thai restaurants in town serve. This was definitely a kids portion for the price they charged. Plus, it had a topping of some sort of whipped cream, which I have never seen on Thai curries. The spicy levels are very mellowed.... likely will appeal to some patrons, but we enjoy spicy food. We chose 4 on a spice scale of 1 to 5, and it hardly was spicy. I tend to think that it's more fusion Thai than authentic Thai, when spice levels are so bland.
My family loves Thai food, and we have pretty much been to every Thai restaurant in Omaha metro. I strongly believe that everyone deserves a second chance, so will be going back here again, but if it's anything like today, that would be...
Read moreWe tried this place on a whim today. The front side was still illuminated and said “OPEN” however, they were technically closed. The polite lady told us to come in and it wasn’t a problem.
We ordered Thai tea, crispy egg rolls and fresh spring rolls. I ordered the Green Curry with chicken and shrimp at spice level 1. My husband ordered the Combo Pho spice level 2.
All of it was fresh, tasty, and delicious. It came as each item was cooked. All had great flavor and great portions.
The staff were polite and attentive. The place was clean and orderly. I’m sure eventually they will make it feel more like a Laotian/Thai venue, but it works and it’s very clean and neat.
We will definitely be going back again and again. It was a little difficult to find because there wasn’t an obvious sign like the rest of the establishments in the strip, but has...
