My first visit to this place, based upon a recommendation from a friend, so I was excited to try it. I got the chicken and waffles meal, envisioning 4 nice sized "crispy buttermilk chicken strips" as that is how they are listed on the menu and a delicious Belgium waffle with a nice crispy outer crust, sadly that's not at all what I got. The chicken strips were 100% processed frozen chicken strips from a bag, they were floppy, watery and disgusting. And they were luke warm at best. Chicken is literally IN THE NAME, you would think they would be house made, but I can confirm, they are not. The waffle was no better, as it was cut into 4 pieces and was a literal floppy mess, made worse by the mound of butter that was on top of it. I was incredibly disappointed by both the chicken and the waffle. HUGE miss! Someone else had gotten a crispy chicken sandwich, which looked a lot more appetizing and the chicken looked a lot more like what I had envisioned my chicken strips would look like, but it still had me wondering if that didn't also come from a bag in the frozen section, considering what I received. I also want to mention that the upcharge on sides is a bit much. Charging almost 2 dollars or more for anything other than standard fries, when ordering the sides menu the cost difference is less than 40 cents is one hell of an upcharge, no thank you. Also, your menu is deceiving, it lists all the "potato sides" you can order as an upcharge, but doesn't list standard fries as a free option at all. The attitude of our server when we asked about it to clarify, was quite rude as well, so that didn't help the matter. Overall, I will not be returning and wouldn't suggest it to anyone else either. Sorry, but with chicken in your restaurant name, to serve frozen processed chicken strips (which does NOT align with what your menu lists) with a chicken and waffles meal, for the price you charge, is a disgrace to chicken and...
Read moreI’m eating my food as I type this cause this is just a review I couldn’t wait to leave. I am a wing gal. I’m picky about wings. I like my wings crispy and saucey; I don’t like no dry ugly soggy pitiful wing. Bdubs and wingstop never fail to disappoint me, and I haven’t found a good wing spot close to Bellevue that hits the spot. The main two you’ll find here in Bellevue are wingstop, and bdubs which is what I’ve had to settle for. Tonight I was going to drive all the way to west Omaha to get Oscar’s wings. But last minute I was like dang it’s a 35 min drive from Bellevue to there! So I was like okay.. I’ll try this place and see what’s up with it. These wings are phenomenal!! The ghost pepper sauce is actually hot guys. We’re big on hot food that hurts good at my house, and the sauce was like BAM! I am not a big lemon pepper person but damnn the lemon pepper was bussin and now im convinced I just never had a good lemon pepper wing before. The buffalo was great and is always a classic. I was extremely impressed with the quality of the food and the wing meat itself is even good quality too. “All of this excitement over 24 Wings!?” you might ask. Yes baby, you should go get some and be excited with me. I’ll be coming back to try breakfast and more since all the reviews seem to say great stuff about the rest of the menu. I hope this place sticks around. My wing prayers have been answered. Can’t wait to delve into more...
Read moreSO GOOD! I have been hearing great things about Wild Chicken Grill, and then found out that they do Belgian Waffles - my mom's favorite. Mom requested one for dinner last night, so I placed an online order for the waffle combo for my mom, and a pancake combo for myself (love breakfast for dinner!) The restaurant is conveniently located on my way home from work. Stopped in at the appointed time and was greeted by a friendly server who had my take-out boxes at the ready. Everything smelled great in the car, looked good on our plates at home, and tasted delicious! My pancakes (2) were huge, fluffy, and had a hint of sweetness (vanilla maybe?) Scrambled eggs, bacon, and sausage were perfectly done. Mom gave two thumbs up for her Belgian Waffle, and she is picky about them! Finally, the hash browns ... I am NOT a hash brown person, but they came with the combo and they actually smelled quite enticing, so I took a bite ... and then another bite ... they were so good! Crispy on the outside with some fluffiness on the inside. Huge portions too, so I finished them off for my lunch today. You may be thinking that breakfast items are no big deal, but there are still so many ways you can go wrong in cooking them - Wild Chicken Grill gets everything right! We will be back soon, perhaps to dine...
