Kaiyo Sushi has consistently, on numerous occasions, provided the best quality sushi in the Bellevue area, quite possibly in the Omaha-metro area. They offer several unique rolls as well as the usual rolls you would find at other sushi restaurants.
What separates Kaiyo from others is their unique all-you-can-eat dining choice. With this, you can order as much as you’d like, as much as you can eat, for less than 30 $. Although pricey up front, I highly recommend this option, my go to every time I’m here, for those that can put down some sushi. It’s very accommodating and price effective for how much I need as someone actively involved in fitness and trying to save more money when it comes to eating out.
The All-You-Can-Eat dining experience includes many appetisers from orange chicken and crab rangoons to salmon skin salad and chicken Yakitori. To top that, for those that love Sashimi and Nigiri they also offer 10+ choices to pick from. If you’ve ever been out and ordered sashimi / nigiri anywhere else, you’d know how expensive it gets. The provided picture was only half of my dinner after my workout, still with the same price mentioned prior.
The staff at Kaiyo are also very understanding and friendly. Sean, the owner, has on several occasions has given a discount if there’s ever been anything wrong with my food or if he thinks it was justified to give one. He’s very friendly and understanding, having big passion in what he does and how motivated he is to achieve his goals. He’s also got the mindset of the customers and himself the business owner and balances the 2 with good intention and mindfulness.
What makes it an even better dining experience is the speed in which they put out food on busy days. The chefs are amasing and clean with their work making sure that the presentation and the delivery is too a professional degree.
The military discount too is also very accommodating. As someone who frequents this place weekly, it only makes this place more appealing and affordable considering that I will always get a discount Monday-Thursday.
Overall, Kaiyo Sushi has been a very great lunch and dinner experience for not only myself but the 10+ people I have brought and recommended to. The food is great, it’s affordable, and is consistently paired with good service and timeliness. Please, if you ever are thinking about going anywhere for sushi, please consider coming here first, you won’t be...
Read moreI was so hopeful for this place. My wife and myself went there for Valentines day. The reservation was easy and we got in quickly. But that's where everything went south from there. We got seated at 7:30. We got our drinks. They said the sushi was taking a little longer the usual but boy was it late. One of the appetizer got there in good time. But the other came with her sushi. I ordered the chicken lo mein which I got pretty fast but when i got it i received it without napkins or silverware. We had to wait 5 mins until we could wave done our waitress to get it. But my wife's sushi didn't come until 8:35 over an hour since we arrived. We didn't even get to eat together. And when she got her Sushi other people were waiting alot longer for it then my wife was. And to top it off this couple that showed up around 8:15 got thier Sushi before everyone that was waiting for at least an hour for thiers. Other customers that saw this were furious and a couple of customers even got the manager because of this. So like I said we got seated at 7:30 we didn't leave the restaurant until 9:00 because of all of this. It was an hour waiting for my wife's sushi to be made. And on top of all of that I thought my chicken tasted wierd. Well I found out why. Around 12:30 A.M I got food poisoning from it. So no it wasn't a good experience at all. We figured out why the sushi was so late also. They were to concerned with to go orders ( you know the people that didn't plan ahead on Valentines day and thought they could just show up without a reservation. And then because of poor planing just got take out instead.) So the restaurant instead of taking care of the customer in the restaurant that actually did plan ahead. They scew us and were doing To go orders that with everything I've just stated were more important apparently. I won't go back. Actually I'm afraid to go back since I also got food poisoning. Very dispointing because my wife really loved her sushi once she got it an hour after...
Read moreWas very excited to try this place, those that follow me know I love buffet/all you can eat establishments... Well, unlike every other dine/AYCE we've been to, at this restaurant either everyone dines or AYCE. And that's ok.....
A couple of rolls I wanted to try, the menu says, let us know what you think, well thats only on the AYCE menu.... guys, I have millions of views. I've been to hundreds of restaurants, I might have had good advice..lol...
That aside, the staff seems friendly, the restaurant seems nice, good layout, it's clean, and for those that want an adult beverage, they can accommodate..
As we are waiting on food, the strong smell of something burnt just wafted by, not important but I hope it's not my food..lol...
For tonight's line up we will be trying..
Nebraska roll... this is going to sound weird, but this thing has a Braunschweiger taste to it, would not eat again..
Alaska roll... delicious I would eat this again..
Peacock roll... There is a taste that is not enjoyable to my palate.
Philadelphia roll.. it's exactly what you expect, done proper....
Tiger roll... I like this roll a lot, very well put together with nice flavors...
Chicken dumplings.. taste good, cooked properly, as I'm typing this, im noticing an aftertaste.. this is what I noticed with the rangoon... I think it's the oil...
Crab rangoon.. fully stuffed, looks amazing, S&S sauce is watered down, the rangoon has a different taste, not bad, but wouldn't eat again.
Here's my opinion, the Alaska and tiger rolls were good, I would eat those again, I was disappointed that I did not get to try the other rolls that are only on the AYCE menu.. Overall, would I return, probably not.. one absolutely delicious roll, another one that I liked a lot, nothing else stood out, other than I believe the oil may have been about spent..
$30 for endless sushi is a good price, I understand the appeal...... But, that same $30 will get 2 or 3 "fancy/signature" rolls at many...
