Despite the fact that I have personally experienced a gruesome stomachache after consuming food from this place, I am certain it is due to the fact that I typically do not eat food this heavy in nature, and Nan Hot Pot has really authentic Chongqing style hot pot with a lot of heavy food, which to me would be a wonderful fit for those that are looking for authentic hot pot. Therefore I will give a rating based on how good the food is, instead of what the food ended up doing to me personally.

My friends and I had two types of broth. I thought the level of spiciness was just right, as it was challenging but not overpowering, meaning that I could still enjoy the flavor of the food rather than the food turning out to be entirely spicy and nothing else. The tomato broth was very savory and didn't have an overwhelming amount of MSG to the point of making me extremely thirsty afterwards. I enjoyed some of the food in the spicy pot and others in the tomato broth pot. The only constructive critism I have is that the broth took quite a while to boil, so we had to wait for a bit until we could savor in all the deliciousness. Granted we put a whole bunch of stuff in the pots to begin with, but even then I thought there should be a way to accelerate the boiling speed. Maybe providing customers with the means to adjust temperature (if induction stove) could help. That's just a small nitpicky point, though, and doesn't negate how good everything else was!

Our server was also very hospitable and provided us with what we need in a fast pace and was attentive to what we have ordered. They had an electronic system to order which made things easier, but when we requested additional broth, utensils, added items without using the electronic system, though, our server was very helpful.
