I don't want to bash a struggling business; however, I will say I've never walked out without paying a bill, I've never been thrown out while walking out, Ive never had seen a restaurant cut your meal in half (according to their menu) for half of our party of 8, never seen a restaurant ok with 2 out of 8 people eatting their food and ok charging for any less on all of the group, never seen a restaurant that would lie about bring knives to the table when asked to provide them because their food was to tough to cut....
1 salad, had 1/8 th of 1 slice of tomato, 1 salad had 1 slice of carrot, everyone else had nothing but bagged iceberg lettuce.
The meals were microwaved, burned, cold, tasted like freezer burn, spoiled.
It took 30 minutes to get water. We asked for lemon 3 times. The 83 year old with us got his meal 15 minutes after the rest of us. He couldn't cut his food with the fork and spoon he was given. I sent my meal back and was ok watching everyone else eat until one after another people said theirs was awful. The frozen meatballs were still frozen in the middle but the plate was to hot to touch.
I cannot believe the quality of this restaurant, it was mother's day, they lost our reservation, my brother got into an argument with the manager over the way they treated my in laws.....not his. I can't say 1 nice thing, not even the water. The group of 8 or 10 next to us must have gotten the last adult size cups for water and knives because we got kids cups and 1 butter knife (after being told we were given knives) for a table of 8 adults.
Terrible, awful, rude, and they give 1 instead of 2 on every meal of 2 veal, 2 chicken parm dishes........however you do get 2 frozen meatballs for $7 or $8.
We walked out during an argument over less than 25% of our group eatting for $240
My son ate, my mother in law ate. I don't know what else to say. I think the owner may have been there during the last 5 minutes but didn't say nothing. Not sorry, hopefully you come back and give us another chance, nothing. We went from willing to pay for those that ate, to good luck, we're leaving and won't be back.
No, I agreed to pay for what we ate until you picked up my father in laws plate to cut his food with the spoon you had given him to see if we were lying. There was zero possibility we were going to allow him to try and finish that food. Way to address the issues at hand. It is hard being a small business, which is why we picked your restaurant over olive garden for mothers day. We all agreed that your food wasn't as good as a frozen lasagna....wait, it was a frozen lasagna...
Edit: In 2024 my father in law celebrated his small businesses 80th anniversary in Norwalk, the oldest in the city. The mayor was in attendance. We know about community support and the value of customers. No one raised their voice. You didn't address a single concern yesterday, you blamed us. You didn't address a single concern here. You blamed us. You really shouldn't be serving food. You should be ashamed. I can take the insults. I'm a big girl. I started with, Ive never walked out without out paying for a meal and I stand by that. I didn't eat a single bite and half our group didn't eat more than 1 bite. I'm...
Read moreHonestly, the food is good, really good....however their service is horrible. I hear they no longer have karaoke, but in the beginning of March 2025 we were invited to a birthday karaoke party for my brother in law. He ordered pizzas in advance as an appetizer so guests could have something to eat. We'll that took forever, 90 minutes, mind you they were pre-ordered. It took another hour to order a lasagna, which arrived at the table at 749pm. The party started at 5pm, the salad and pizza arrived at 643pm. My first time here at this location, my sister, her husband the bday boy came here often for the karaoke. My niece & her husband had been here too, a waitress remembered my niece and apologized for the crappy service last time. So in conclusion, if you want to have dinner here, go shortly after you've had had a meal somewhere else because it will take a while to get your food. They need better staff, more staff, maybe more chefs. There was another birthday group and another large group came in, I'm sure they were aware of the amount of guests to be there, but they failed to staff accordingly. A gold mine if ran properly, but much income was lost and no amount of good food will keep this place...
Read moreMy daughter was craving spaghetti and I wanted to try a new place out, saw this place and decided to give it a try!
Service: 10/10 Both the woman server and the gentleman who was running back and forth between the back of the house and the front were extremely polite, knowledgeable of the menu and accommodating. Food came out fairly quickly and our drinks stayed filled.
Food: 6/10 My daughter enjoyed her spaghetti, but she liked another place we frequent more called Le Coco in Downey. I thought the sauce was a little watered down. I ordered a calzone and I loved how gracious they were with the pepperonis and olives, but the dough was undercooked and made it hard to eat. I saved most of it to take home and cook it more. The garlic bread was very good and the lemon chicken soup that came with my daughters pasta was tasty yet simple which was a perfect little appetizer for her. Prices were decent.
Ambience: 10/10 Very clean and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The bar area was absolutely to die for, it was so cute! My come back for wine and appetizers.
Overall I would try this place again and give it another chance. The food tasted okay, and I think if my calzone was cooked thoroughly it would have...
