Horrible experience! The best location was just closed recently off Bakerview, now this pathetic location has all the business with poor customer service to boot. Went in last night and my wife and I ordered separately. The guy working just finished wiping his face before asking us what we'd like. I told him just a second as no one was behind us and he was finishing up an order. When we ordered he got confused and was rude about how many sandwiches were being ordered (just 2 xl). When he started our order, I wanted sourdough and I asked for mayo mustard on both sides of the bread. To which he slathered on an ultra thin layer from an empty container on the counter. The thin layer of sauce he applied had bits of lettuce, onion, etc in it but he didn't care. Finally his coworker grabbed a new one in the cooler and he used that one. After telling him I wanted double meat, my sandwich got moved to the end of priority, yet my wife ordered the same #1 as I did (so he wasn't juggling meats or cheeses for 2 completely different sandwiches). He took another order behind us and moved that person up and finished their sandwich ahead of mine, behind my wife's. At the prior location on Bakerview, they had a 10% discount they offered for employees working in the shopping center and I always got that applied to my order. At the end, I was given a rude response as to why they didn't want to because apparently they didn't have the time or they didn't think having me as a customer was worth keeping. When I finally got home with my overpriced order, the bread was hard and the sandwich was very dry. The bread tasting stale and the sandwich not having a proper amount of oil and vinegar on it. For spending $28 on a sandwich that's that disgusting, with rude employees, and bumping my priority to the back of the line instead of focusing on my sandwich, I will not only never return to this pathetic restaurant, but also file a corporate complaint, management complaint and if that isn't resolved, I will file a complaint with my bank for a bad transaction for services not properly rendered. This is absolutely pathetic. No one cares anymore about anything, just pure rudeness and employees taking their stresses out on their customers. Can't wait til this place goes out of business. It's sad that ppl act this way and make customers have a...
Read moreNever have I been treated so rudely as I was today (11/4 -Lakeway) and I have been eating Lettuce wrap from both location in Bellingham for years. The girl in the cheetah mask (they don't wear name tags), was extremely hostile and short with me when I advised her my lettuce wrap was due to an allergy, not a diet CHOICE. I even apologized for being "that person" (yes, I am aware of cross contamination risk, however everyone else in the past has made their best attempt and I've been fine (I miss the one on Bakerview... they were always so nice)
When I advised, she slammed it down on the counter behind her (if you can even slam down lettuce - it was aggressive setting at least). Her entire demeanor during the whole process was extremely off putting from asking what I wanted and signing loudly each time she made a move - (also, after she helped the person behind me). When she ponded my wrap on someone else, she failed to tell them it was a allergy cautious - at this point I was paying close attention.
When the poor new girl (she was obviously training), put it on the main area, using it to push other food away, I said something.. I HAVE to....... cheetah print girl then snapped at me, loudly in front of other customers, that it was "on the paper".... informed her, not the point, she used it to push food away, thus completely negating the "paper". New girl put it back on the back side.
The only reason I am giving 2 stars, is because the gentlemen working, quickly grabbed it, and made a new one for me. While cheetah girl, whipped around, grabbed the old one, and shoved it into the trash like the wrap bit her!
I get it I have an allergy, I get that they are having to take a few extra steps to avoid cross Contamination - however MISTAKES happen. I always tip accordingly. I apologize and say thank you.
And don't worry I told new girl,, it was all good, she wasn't told, I did tipped because I did get a service(Not as much as I would have) - and I still apologized and said thank you to the gentleman for making it right, no questions asked.
But heads up, unless you want to defend you diet needs or what to be treated without any grain of respect for not being the simple customer, I'd take a deep breath before you enter. You'll leave annoyed and agitated for simply trying to get a...
Read moreI went into the Lakeway location around 1pm-ish today and it was slammed! I've been going there for years and have never seen it as busy as it was today. There were some people in front of me in line and the one paying at the cash register was complaining to the employee about an online receipt or something. It's a little shocking to me that someone can get upset about something that miniscule and to treat the employees that way is wrong. The three that were behind the counter were very clearly doing their best and working their hardest considering the circumstances; I also imagine having a long line of customers just staring at them doesn't help the pressure. I wish I could have given my appreciation to them in person but didn't want to take away from their work or make things awkward, but if any of you from that location are reading this, I saw how hard you were working and was impressed with how you handled that massive lunch rush and online orders. That job can't be easy, especially at peak times, and people love to complain; it seems positive feedback is not common these days, so I hope you see this and know at least one person noticed your hard work, patience, and calmness...
