My family and I have eaten here since it opened and always enjoyed it....until tonight. It has been quite a while since we last ate there and everything has really gone down hill. We watched as they cleaned a table for us and placed our clean dishes on the table BEFORE wiping it off. The soy sauce container was gross! It didn't look like they ever wiped it off. There was something in the wasabi dish, who knows what.
The food was okay. Most we had to order, even though they were busy, they did not have what we like. The cucumber salad looked really really old and we didn't eat it.
My husband ordered red wine for us and our server didn't bother to ask which one. Then my glass was dirty. I noticed right away and sent it back. However, after our server left, we noticed that my husbands glass was also dirty. When our waitress came back, he told her. She was kind enough about the whole thing but as I watched, she grabbed a clean glass from the shelf and poured the wine from the dirty glass into the clean one. 😱
After that we did not see our server for a long time. Eating with kids, we needed napkins and by that time our bill. I attempted to flag down a sever who walked by our table and she completely ignored me, even though she looked right at me. I was floored!!! I have never been treated so rudely in a restaurant before!!! The people waiting for a table, were surprised too!! No one came to check in on us. I ended up going to the front desk to ask for napkins!!!
I took the kids to the bathroom to wash our hands after dinner. Some sort of air freshener had been sprayed in there and it was SO Strong that I couldn't breathe!!! Gross!!!
After seeing the other reviews of food poisoning....we will not be eating here again!!! Wish we had of read the reviews first. 😳🤢. There are TONS of other local, affordable restaurants to eat...
Read moreVery poor experience. First off, the ikura I was served today was not fresh, tasted and smelled strange, and unfortunately I had to throw it out (while I did get this dish to go, I only live about five minutes away by drive, which shouldn’t have affected the freshness of my dish so I’m assuming it was just expired). However this was not even my main complaint, dispite the huge disappointment. I have done separate orders to go with different cards multiple times here with no issue until today. Today I was told I was not allowed to use my friends card, which at first made sense considering I figured maybe they just had a policy change. I was slightly upset since I hadn’t been told about it upfront since I had to wait for a long time, but it made sense. However when I then gave her my card, she accepted the card without asking me for my ID and did not ask for an ID for anyone else’s card at the time that were waiting to pay. I implied that I was slightly upset that I had been declined service on the original card potentially being based on assumptions of either gender or race (my friend has a very obviously Persian name) considering that she didn’t even bother to actively ask to look at my ID for the second card, or ask anyone else for their ID for their cards, and she got very upset. Once she then realized that I had another bigger order, she became less short and rude to me. It was a very disappointing visit, and I will probably not be returning now. I am willing to pay a little extra for better service, and non...
Read moreMy first visit was good, thanks to the friendly brunette server. However, during my last visit, the young hostess with black hair displayed a negative attitude towards us.
First off, she handled my request for extra ginger poorly. At first, she simply neglected to bring it, and when I asked again, her response was, "I can't bring you extra. You'll have to ask when you run out." It's worth noting that I have received extra ginger from other servers at this restaurant before. In fact, in all my sushi dining experiences, I have never encountered such a rude response when requesting extra ginger.
The other disappointing incident occurred when we requested Philly Roll with tempura crunch on top. Although I wasn't aware of its exact name, it had been available on the conveyor belt before, and the kitchen staff had prepared it for us. However, when we tried to order it from this hostess and explained that we'd like a Philly Roll with tempura crunch on top, she displayed a clear annoyance with our lack of knowledge regarding its specific name. I observed her discussing our request with the chefs and other staff members as she looked so obviously annoyed. It's important to note that we are amiable individuals, and our requests were entirely reasonable. Nevertheless, her reaction was quite striking.
It became evident that asking her for anything beyond her basic duties of seating and providing wasabi/ginger was problematic. The overall experience was highly disappointing because the location...
