Bad and the good: -food is pricey over the small portion we had with fish tacos (no sides unless the coleslaw that was portioned in the taco counts) +server was kind to help us the best she could +environment is delightful

Tip: don't be in a rush, better off going after your movie if that is ur plan or go elsewhere

Honest review: 3 stars is fair for first time Hardly leave reviews but maybe itll help someone epecially first timers who are looking for a quick meal around the Barkley area while waiting for their movie showing. Let me start by saying we r one of those folks and definitely this place was the wrong choice for me and my wife...our showing was in a half hour (8pm). Us to blame for trying something new, should have settled for subway but wife wasn't feeling it. We already put in our order so too late to turn back. Ordered fish tacos thinking it might be quick enough to squeak by. Boy 15 minutes later we get our food thinking we will take our loss on time not there fault if that's the typical wait time. Person helping us was wonderful and knew the situation we were in and tried to speed things up. Although I'm thinking paying 30 dollars including 4 dollars tip it was the smallest portion tacos I've seen (we had four tacos 2 salmon/2 halibut fish what they offer). I understand halibut is expensive since I work at a fish bar. It must've been 6 dollars a pop with maybe 2 oz of meat on each. I could have had a nice meal yet I got a quick expensive snack. Should have just read what I was getting. Lesson learned. Got to stay optimistic though by rubbing it off like the amount I spent was going towards a good cause. Wife on the other hand lost her appetite after seeing the portion, don't think she would want to go...

My family loves this place, the food is always amazing, the drinks made by Eric are always great, and most importantly the atmosphere is very welcoming. I have been here for date nights and dinners with my family (children), every experience has been good but tonight we dined in for a later dinner (8:30pm) and the service was mediocre at best. We are used to a warm welcoming from the staff that makes us feel at home. The service we received tonight was not what we are used to. Our server started sweeping at about 9 while there were a few tables and a full bar which I usually don’t mind but it did take away from her checking on us. Then around 9:15 she was mopping and still hadn’t checked on us or other tables around. When she did eventually check on us and we ordered refills she announced that it was last call, I completely understood but if we had been checked on prior we could have had the drinks with our meal. Everything felt rushed from the moment we walked in considering they are opened until 10pm and that is why we chose to have dinner here. We always tip well when the service and food are good but tonight that was not the case. I hope management understands that they have a great place but maybe the new staff needs to be trained a little more about...

It wasnt horrible, but a couple things sorta had their cons, I hate to give a local business a bad review but my husband ordered the fettuccine alfredo thinking it'd be a traditional fettuccine alfredo.. when he got it it had a bunch of vegetables in it, so it was more like a primavera and not a classic alfredo. Why wouldn't they advertise that they put mushrooms, red peppers, and etc in the dish? It just kinda threw him off. HOWEVER he ordered the vegetarian sliders as an app and lovvvvved them! My dish was good too, I got the salmon baguette. With the the food I feel like it was a little over priced for what we got, and honestly probably, something I could have made myself at home..

On the positive our waitress was super, super, friendly; they had a old black and white movie projected on the wall so it made the ambiance feel romantic; and our drinks were delicious! Also: we went to celebrate my husbands birthday when I made the reservation I said so and asked if they had any specials, so before we left they surprised him with a complimentary chocolate lava cake, he really enjoyed that and it was nice that they were able to go along with the surprise.

Our experience wasn't ruined by any means, it's possible we could go back for another...
