The food here is really good. I had Pho Thai and shared some fried rice, spring rolls and egg rolls with my wife and friends. The one weird food thing was that they had chili paste rather than chili oil but it honestly was pretty good with that anyway. The broth in my pho was flavorful and the noodles were freshly made. The amount of meat and noodles in it was good as well from a ratio standpoint. The egg and spring rolls were made in house and better than 99% of the egg rolls I've had in Asian restaurants. I think that most places buy them frozen and don't make them in house. If these were frozen then I need to find out who their supplier is.
So why only three stars? I give five stars for food quality and zero stars for price and three stars is the average. Actually, the fried rice was reasonably priced but the pho was so ridiculously overpriced I'm going zero stars out of annoyance. Their large was probably the smallest large I've ever gotten at a pho restaurant and I've eaten at a lot. They seemed like they were trying to pull some sort of mind trick with the bowl. My friend ordered the regular size and I ordered the large and I swear the bowls were the exact same size but just shaped differently. To charge me nearly $15 for something I pay around $8 for at the Than Bros back in the Seattle area and get at least a third more soup is insane. Who told them that this was a reasonable amount to charge? We were there during the dinner hour on a Saturday evening and there was only one other couple in there so clearly they aren't doing blow out business. When I eat at Vie-Thai Noodle Bar in Everett, I order their super size which might be twice as large as this and it's still $3 cheaper. Come on...
Read moreOMG SLOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWW!!!!! Definitely not the best Pho in Bellingham. How do they win awards? This place is disgustingly dirty and stinks. The slowest service I've ever gotten in my life. Rude woman running the place. She definitely needs better help. We finally just threw money on the counter and walked out paying too much for terrible service. The Pho is not good enough to carry the place.
Definitely don't go here if you are on your lunch break. If you want good fast Pho in Bellingham, stick with Pho99. It may be on the other side of town for me from work, but I can drive to the south side from the north side and back in less time then it took at this place and the Pho...
Read moreI give it 4 stars because although I find it hard to communicate with the owners, they are very nice people.they also serve very good food.for example,I ordered pho,and asked for teriyaki sauce.he asked if I would like rice with that, and I should have known then....but he brought a whole order of teriyaki!I don't like to trouble people so I offered to buy it anyways, with no regrets! The only bad part about this place,is that the ambiance is just akward....no music, social activity...it's like a library or a principles office...very quiet and almost ominous...if they would just add some kind of radio station or tv sound it would improve the vibe, and I would probably be living behind...
