As of my last update in September 2021, Cordata Park is a public park located in the Cordata neighborhood of Bellingham, WA. It is a community park designed to offer recreational opportunities and green spaces for residents and visitors.

Cordata Park typically features various amenities and facilities that may include:

Playgrounds: Play structures and equipment for children to enjoy and have fun. Sports Fields: Open spaces for playing sports like soccer, baseball, or frisbee. Picnic Areas: Shaded spots with picnic tables and benches for families and friends to gather and have meals outdoors. Walking Paths: Paved or gravel paths for walking, jogging, or biking. Open Green Spaces: Ample areas of grass and open fields for relaxation and outdoor activities. Park Benches: Scattered throughout the park for visitors to rest and enjoy the surroundings. Nature Areas: Preserved natural habitats, trees, and possibly ponds or small water features.

Parks like Cordata Park are essential for communities as they provide opportunities for exercise, socializing, and enjoying nature. They are often well-maintained by local authorities and may host community events or activities from time to time.

Please note that the features and amenities of Cordata Park might have changed or been updated since my last update. For the most current information about Cordata Park and its offerings, I recommend checking with the local parks and recreation department or visiting the...

This is a fantastic little park with a trail that's very well-packed gravel, and only one hill either way on the main loop. The main loop (starting from the playground) is about .3 miles, and the longer loop, which includes going by the pickleball courts is about .5 miles but part of the gravel is much fresher and much harder to get over in a manual wheelchair. I have very strong arms with a moderately weak core, as well as systemic fatigue issues and I can currently do about a mile here while still feeling comfortable and untired.

There is an accessible family bathroom that I recommend using as the accessible stalls are awkward and small in the other bathrooms. The park and splash pad are well-built and mostly accessible, though I haven't personally rolled through them.

Depending on the time of week there is a moderate amount of dogs, the vast majority of which are either on leash or leashed up when the handlers see other dogs. The trail also encircles a wildlife reserve so there is plenty of bird-watching to be done! The killdeer are my favorite : )

If you are light, sun, or noise sensitive there is no shade on the trail and limited shade at the park and parking lot. While the trail itself is relatively quiet the splash pad and park can get very loud with all the kiddos running around, so plan...

Equipment is designed for persons with special needs, as well as the community at large. A special area for parkour is really fabulous in addition to their pump track. Pump track is designed for scooters, and small bikes. There's a larger pump track by Waypoint park designed for larger bikes. I did see an adult with a scooter on the pump track at Cordata park. Big swings fit an entire person. My daughter age 19 enjoyed it. Infant swings available.See saw type swing, but safer. Equipment definitely designed for safety and to meet a variety of abilities and ages. If you want water this is not the park for that. Time limit for stay is 30 minutes requested by Bellingham parks as well as covid-19 protocols. Three bathrooms too! No paper towels.Warm water, soap, air dryer. Some tables, lots of benches. Great and beautiful park. Well done Cordata community advocates!!!! 15 years is a long...

Such a cool place. We came for the pump track and found so much more. The play area is big and is only 2 years old. Public restrooms in the middle of the park. There is a big cook shed for use and around the whole park is a paned walk way. The pump track was very cool and in great shape. Lots of parking and everything here is wheel chair accessible. There are lots of dog bags and trash cans for pets. There is even a parkour course. If your ever in the area with kids or pets stop on in and check it out.

If you're in Bellingham, Cordata Park is a must-visit. It's a pretty new park, but it's got all sorts of cool stuff to do. They've got activities for both big and little kids, and the trails are perfect for a walk with your friends or your dog. The water park is a lifesaver on hot days, and the park's big enough for any kind of gathering you want to have. Plus, they've got a pump track and a par course for those who like a little adventure. It's hands down the best park in Bellingham.
