I will not mince words with this complaint.
We went to this Subway today, as we usually do as it is close to home, and dealt with some of the worst customer service I've had hands down. To start, there was only one person working at this location, alone, during rush, AGAIN! This happens every time we go, some poor worker is subjected to working alone EVERY day during every single rush, this is highly unacceptable and disgusting. I worked at subway for a few years myself and to force a worker to be alone the entire shift is lunacy, there are rules against this even.
On top of this, the store is in awful condition, everything is dirty and looks to have been for days, like dirt caked to floors for a week dirty; the coolers are not stocked at all, and the food prep up front looks days old. Lettuce that is mostly brown and see through, veggies thrown all over the place and mixed into bins together which can be a major health hazard especially for allergies, the meat that was put on my cold cut was GREEN, literally green all around the edges and some right over the whole slices.
Before ordering my cold cut, I had originally ordered a steak and egg, this location is breakfast all day much like the mall nearby and I have gotten breakfast sandwiches here all the time, I was told "We don't do breakfast during the day" at all? Since when? We had to repeat both of our orders numerous times, more than would ever be necessary, to even get a sandwich started at all. I said steak and egg multiple times, the worker repeated steak back to me and then proceeded to put ham on my sandwich before it needing to be corrected? The worker proceeded to make my friends sandwich, a steak and cheese, and upon finishing had to ask my friend several more times at the cash register what my friend ordered despite JUST making it seconds prior start to finish? The worker was only doing one single sandwich start to finish by itself all the way to cash in a line of about 7 waiting people, it took us 20 minutes just to get to the beginning of our order due to this. When you get to veggies or toasting, its customary to start the next sandwich but this did not happen once and again, during a rush with multiple orders and sandwiches this poor worker is forced to do everything alone!?
Either way to end this, this was highly unacceptable and health hazard level disgusting. We had to throw the sandwiches away due to the green meats and clearly days old veggies on them, I can't say that either of us will return at this point as this location gets worse every visit and we aren't looking to get food poisoning either. Read moreDON’T WASYE YOUR MONEY ON THIS SUBWAY. I’ve had multiple problems with the staff at this location on Meridian Street. I just ordered 1 1/2 subs and costs $40.82. It was delivered by DoorDash. My 6” had ingredients in it I didn’t order and was missing the things I did order. The lettuce was Brown and Wilted. When I called to talk to the lady who made my 2 sandwiches, she told me to call DoorDash to get my money back. WHY would I call DoorDash, I wouldn’t because it’s not their fault. All they did was pick the order up and delivered it. But this location has always tried blaming everyone except themselves. I have had several problems with my orders and the staff but no more.. I will take my business elsewhere and I would seriously suggest everyone do the same. Spare the stress and money for your orders and go somewhere else. I’m not much of a complainer but I’ve had all I’m going to take from Subway on Meridian. Also, so you know ahead of time, they will not honor any coupons or the nationwide specials. You will never get any of the advertised discounts. I’m not going to comment on the kind of people who operate this location but everything I’ve gone through with them blaming everyone else and making excuses for their actions, they put it in the customer. I have never felt to write a bad review about any experience I have had before but, today, I went to this subway over my break. I work at the dairy queen just down the way and from working in this type of job, you learn that it’s more than just getting a customers order out quickly but making sure they are satisfied with the whole experience in how the employee treats us as the customers. The morning worker for march 8th I remember her name was parjeet? or something similar to that. I walked in and there was a family of three sitting down and no one watching up front, took about a minute before she came up and she has her headphones in, she had one of them still in her ears through the entire duration of my order. As I’m trying to tell her my order she keeps having me repeat myself, and I’m repeating myself on several different occurrences, like girl just take them out! Before she puts the condiments on my sandwich she has me pay before she finishes me sandwich. After I pay we get to the toppings part and I ask for avocado on my sandwich but I already paid so I have to then pay again wasting mine and her time.
