I've eaten here MANY times. Have always loved the food and atmosphere. Maybe it's under new ownership???...I ordered from the menu I saw online and expected to pay $20-25 for my noodle dish and an order of fresh spring rolls. When I went to pick it up the total for the dish and rolls was $41.50!!! Almost double what I expected to pay. I thought she had the wrong ticket. I was already splurging to order the meal so can't afford to pay $40 + for what has usually cost me a little over half that all the years before. THEY NEED TO POST ACTUAL PRICES ONLINE, NOT THOSE OF YEARS AGO. I left the food I ordered and felt horrible about it. BUMMER!!! Sadly, I can no longer afford to support this restaurant I've loved for so many years. * Also, the server lost her tip that I intended to give for her kind demeanor on the phone. Sorry.

Supon's Thai Kitchen was nearby our accommodation, and the good reviews drew us in! Their menu (according to Google) is not updated, so I recommend going to their restaurant for more accurate pricing. Had the Kee Mao with chicken at a 0 spice level, and the Holy Basil with pork at a spice level of 1. We added a bowl of brown rice ($2.50). Both dishes came with an abundance of thickly cut vegetables cooked just right, with a slight crunch but not overcooked or soft. Good serving of meat as well! We have a low tolerance for spice, so even their level of 1 had a slight kick, but was manageable! Their Thai Iced Tea was refreshing as well. We got the vibes of a family establishment. On a Wednesday night, there were a few patrons dining in, but also people coming to take out food. Would return if in the area!

While a little concerned that few people were eating at the restaurant when we arrived it wasn’t because of poor service or food. I eat Thai food at least once a week. Most Thai restaurants boil their chicken and then toss it into their dishes just before serving. Not here. Everything was very fresh and truly exceeded our expectations. We were traveling to Vancouver island and are making our return trip home earlier so we can hit the place on the way home. Who knew my favorite Thai place would be in Bellingham, WA . Thanks Supons! See you soon!

Bad food, bad service, worse owner, go to Busara

Went here with my girlfriend late one day. We were the only table. I got the Swimming Rama spinach. Came out and the peanut sauce had no flavor, the only thing the spinach tasted like was salt and the entire thing was sitting in a pool of spinach water and some soy sauce. Had 3 bites (one of spinach, one of peanut sauce and one of beef to give it a fair shot) and it was awful.

When the waiter asked how the food was I said it wasn’t great and they didn’t apologize, offer solutions, or anything. Just tip toed around doing anything about it until I said I was NOT going to eat it. At that point they said they’d see what they could do, took 5 minutes in the back, and then said “sorry nothing I can do” like what? After holding my ground that “oh well” wasn’t a good enough answer they offered to get the owner.

Owner came out and basically just told me “all my other customers like it clearly it’s a problem with you, you have to eat it” very rude, very self righteous, very wrong. Oddly enough I don’t doubt my ability to know what wilted spinach and too much salt tastes like. They did eventually take my meal away and take it off the bill, but even after that I could hear the owner in the back talking badly about me and how I don’t know what I’m talking about.

I just ended up splitting my girlfriend’s meal (Thai style pad thai) which was decently good. But the 1 meal, a soda, and a Thai tea cost like $28 before tip which is nuts for what it was.

Never coming here again, just go to Busara it’s the same price or less and 10x better with...

I have been a customer of Supons for many years (as far back as when they were on Dupont under different ownership) and I’ve always really enjoyed their food. Tonight I called in 2 orders of curry, one with tofu, the other with chicken. When I got in my car, I checked to make sure they got it correct. One lid said tofu, the other said chx. I called it good and went home, only to find that all of the chicken and all of the tofu were in one curry, and the other was just curry with no protein. Not the end of the world, but I don’t eat meat so I couldn’t just pick the tofu out of the chicken curry. I called and spoke to the same person I ordered from and told him what happened. He apologized, took down my name and phone number, and assured me they’d make things right on my next visit. 30 mins later the woman who apparently made the food called me and told me that it would be impossible for the chicken and tofu to be in the same container. I told her it wasn’t impossible, because it 100% just happened. She continued to argue with me to the point that I had to tell her I won’t be returning and I hung up. I would have returned even if they weren’t going to give me a free meal or a discount, but to call me and tell me I’m lying is...

Our family has been coming to this restaurant for years. Today we ordered our usual items from the menu, it’s a very hot day in Bellingham, and upon returning home (the food was “to go”) we realized that the rice dish we order for our 8 year- old was wrong. When we called we expected an apology and a gesture to make up for the mistake, which would be a courtesy you should expect from any decent restaurant. Not at Supon’s! The manager Linda insisted that we were to save and preserve the incorrect dish (reminder, temperatures are high this week) so she can verify that a mistake has been made and replace the dish when we return it to Supon’s sometime this week!!! No apology and no gesture to extend any additional courtesy to make up for our failed Sunday dinner. If only one unsuspecting first-time customer will take this review to heart it was worth taking the time out of our day to share this experience with the people of...
