Playa Bowls — Restaurant in Belmar

Not just with Playa Bowls in Lavallette, NJ, but with every other Playa Bowls stores i’ve been to the atmosphere has been amazing. I love Playa Bowls because the service is always very quick and it still amazes me how the workers manage to make the bowls so pretty when they get it to their customers so quickly.

I also love that you can add or take out anything from the bowl you are getting. If I don’t feel like having Nutella with my açaí bowl, then I can take it off and add something else without any change in cost. Additionally, as an athlete who tracks her food, protein, and water intake, the option to put different types of protein powders into the base of your playa bowl is amazing. To my local Playa Bowls in Whitehouse Station, NJ, they have chocolate and vanilla whey protein powders as well as the non-dairy versions of that flavor protein and it’s amazing.

Regarding portion size, it varies from person to person. For me, I think it fills me up perfectly for a lunch and then I will eat a snack in between lunch and dinner. Again, they are good portion sizes but if you tend to eat bigger meals I would say this wouldn’t fill you up.

Since Playa Bowls is a bit expensive, I treat myself when I can and I have the rewards app as well. So, I don’t get it often but when I can I will! I’m also never afraid to try anything new here because I’ve always loved what I’ve gotten whether that’s been açaí or kale bowls. The bowl prices vary depending on what u get as well as smoothies or coffees. For me, the bowls I get cost between $12-13 with no discount. However, the rewards app lets you log each time you order something from Playa Bowls and if you save up points you will earn a $3 off any item from playa bowls when you reach to 750 points. to get to a free bowl you have to reach 2,100 points.

Lastly, there are so many options with the choice of creating your own bowl and/or mixing bases and toppings. I think this is amazing if you like certain bases but not toppings or vice versa.

Overall, i love playa bowls and would definitely recommend this to athletes as it is also a great...

Welp, I'm 3 visits in and I continue to be very pleased... until this evening's visit.

Plenty of FREE onsite parking, large sitting/ dining area, free wifi, detailed menu board, points club (Playa Club) for purchases, plentiful outdoor seating... What more could one ask for? Welp, I'll tell you shortly !!

This evening I ordered Nutelloco Cocunut Bowl. I swapped Nutella for Peanut Butter. Everything started awesome as usual.

They were busier than they've been when I normally visit and I completely understand, they're great!!

I opted to grab a Playa Bowl for dinner and EPIC FAIL.

The bowls are always a generous size w the freshest of fruits used.

I love that they employ respectable young individuals that are the future. They are always on point w order accuracy and the wait is always short and fair. ... not tonight!! And ... all but 1.

Now this was originally a 5 Star Review but then, that Bad Apple !! Thank Gawd I didn't post the original !! ... the fact that I had time to write an entire review should be telling!!

I ordered my Bowl at 7:34pm, I have proof. Rec'd at 8pm, I have proof. I was so hungry!! 8:06pm, JULIE comes over to ask me to leave because they close at 8pm and she had more orders to finish. I said "Sure, I'll leave in 4 minutes, I'm just finishing my review" (that PLAYA BOWLS SENT ME). Julie said "Um, we closed at 8pm". I gracefully left as I'm finishing this edited review from my car in the dimly lit parking lot.

I left my home many miles away to visit THIS establishment, waited almost 30 MINUTES and I can't have 4 minutes to safely finish your establishment review. I'm not gonna mention how Julie and company immediately began to talk trash about me as I approached the back door while other customers were still in there. Ok, gotcha Playa Bowls ! Bad business!!

I should’ve gotten her name… she was AMAZING!!!!!!!! There was a young lady on the register, brunette hair. Super friendly! Very welcoming disposition! She helped me choose my items, she told me how to make it work for me in the most cost effective way (picky eater). She even let me try a few base options -Pitaya & Mango (we had similar tastes because neither of us enjoyed Pitaya very much 😖 tastes like a placebo fruit 😭-but my sister LOVED IT!). So because of her, I’ve literally eaten Playa Bowl every other day-obsessed-it’s a little expensive for me though lol! Get me a discount and I’ll take 14 of em right now, SPECTACULAR

i dont know WHAT TYPE OF BERRY BLEND THEY USE IN THEIR AÇAÍ BUT ITS THE BEST AÇAÍ IVE HAD NEXT TO AMAZON CAFE!

(Please advise you can do a Half and Half Base!!! It’s really good and they don’t mix it together here, they give them space in the bowl, it was really perfectly made. The other Playa Bowl I visited didn’t do that for me! I got Half...
