Although crowded, the beach was nice, relatively quiet and calm crowd. No loud or offensive , rude language or people. Sand was soft, easy getting into the water which was good for wave jumping, somewhat clear for the Atlantic. Great beach. It's clean, didn't see any garbage or debris in the sand. Guests seemed to all practice social distancing, and some even wore masks when they weren't in the water. Beach is free until memorial Day also no lifeguards until memorial day but it is an amazing day if you keep yourself safe. It is so heartbreaking and crazy to see people have to run out after people. Thank God the last rescue we saw yesterday 5-19-2021 in Belmar they actually were able to save them they moved fast!! Enjoy just be safe...
