Sweet! — Restaurant in Belmar

I was pretty shocked by my experience today. I purchased a single serving slice of banana cream pie, I asked for a spoon to consume it immediately. I got into the car and the pie was so frozen, it almost bent the plastic spoon. Delaying instant gratification, I waited until I got home. This pie was so frozen that even after nuking it in the microwave to a point that the frosting was bubbling on top, and even still, I had to microwave it a second time because the middle was still a little ball of ice. Ridiculous! I thought I was getting a marvelous bargain at $4 but ultimately I was left regretting my choice, as some of the other pastries and candies appeared to have been more suitable for consumption. These folks are AWESOME! Aside from having astoundingly great quality candies, chocolates, cupcakes, etc. They also have, hands-down, the best approach to customer service I have ever seen. My wife and I ordered cake balls for my daughter's Christmas concert, I was responsible for making sure the treats were picked up and delivering them on time. Not realizing the time of day, I almost botched delivery all together. My Daughter was looking for a custom cake that she found online. So while in Belmar NJ we stumbled upon "Sweet" Bakery. We when in and bought some pastries and they were all very good! 👍👍 Especially, the chocolate covered Strawberries! Well, anyway... we showed them the cake my daughter wanted and they said they can do it. For what we were looking for, it was very reasonably priced. Today we picked up the cake and they did an Amazing Cake! So Beautiful! It tasted as good as it looked! We look forward to getting many more cakes from Sweet, and will refer them to anyone!
