The place is one of the cutest places ever. You walk in and it's like you've been transported to a cute little wonderland. Their china is super cute hundreds of different options. The afternoon tea party is a must. Often they have a nice little salad or bowl of soup like potato leek or ginger carrot in the summer they have chilled soups as well. They give you bottomless pots of tea with a tier of different little treats scones in the middle ,savory treats on the bottoms and sweets on the top. When they do their themed tea party they make it wonderful with decorations and everything. For their mad hatter themed tea party they had little paper roses on the table with text from mad hatter. Their Harry Potter tea party you get to make a drinkable potion. If you didn't want to sit down you could always do their afternoon tea to go. As well order from their cafe and chose from the different options of scones, crossiants, and crumb cake. If you get their sweet scones make sure to get it with clotted cream or their strawberry jam you won't regret it.Almost everything is made in house. Their chicken salad on the croissants are to die for as well as their pecan ( treacle treat) bars. The owner Kate is a joy as well as her staff members. If you do their afternoon tea you might have the pleasure of having Annie or Carley as your tea aficionados. They are excited to tell you what you'll be having and make it an even better experience. Read moreI am writing to express my disappointment regarding the unprofessional conduct we experienced during our recent event held at your establishment on June 14, 2025.
We had clearly arranged and paid for a three-hour event, as confirmed in the email correspondence we had on file. However, upon our arrival, the manager insisted that our reservation was only for two hours. Despite us having the confirmation email readily available, the conversation was not handled professionally. It took some time for your team to locate the same email we had, which indeed confirmed the three-hour timeframe.
What was particularly upsetting was how this situation was addressed—in front of our early-arriving guests. It was embarrassing and unnecessary. A private conversation would have been far more appropriate and respectful, especially given that we were your clients and had prepared for the event in good faith.
We chose your venue expecting a gracious and welcoming experience, and unfortunately, the tone set by this interaction impacted the beginning of what was meant to be a celebratory gathering.
We hope you take this feedback seriously and ensure your staff is better prepared and more tactful in their future interactions with customers. Professionalism and respect should never be compromised, especially in a...
Read moreWhat a wonderful experience! My family and I ate in the tea room which comes with multiple courses of delicious bites of food. The passion and care that went into curating the menu is unbelievable. We attended during the Harry Potter theme weeks, and our meal opened up by brewing our own "polyjuice potions" (lemonade + a blue sweetener stirred to make a violet drink) and finished with cups of butterbeer. Many of the foods served were also real-life creations from foods featured in the books, including pumpkin pasties and chocolate frog brownies. I'm not a huge Harry Potter fan, but I so appreciate the cleverness, heart, and attention to detail that went into the meal. The servers are incredibly kind, the decorations are quaint and whimsical, and the food is absolutely delicious--you are not sacrificing quality for the fun of the themes! It is one of the best dining experiences I've had, and I couldn't recommend it more highly.
The menu we received: -"Polyjuice potion" (lemonade) -Bottomless pumpkin tea -Bottomless tea of our choice (we chose caramel) -Cold cucumber soup -Mini sandwiches (chicken salad on croissant, egg salad, and pumpkin pasties) -Scones served with clotted cream and strawberry jam -Mini desserts (chocolate frog brownies, toffee bars, and citrus...
