I am a repeat customer, and usually enjoy the tea. The young ladies at the register are usually super nice, and patient. But today, my visit was not too satisfying, which is disappointing. I really like their tea, but sadly I will not be returning. My complaint is: I arrived and placed my drink order first, prior to a caucasian gentleman,. The barista purposely made his drink before mine. I politely asked why did the man get his drink before me, and the response was his drink was easier to make. That just did not sit right with me. Orders should be made on a first come first serve basis, and not which customer's drink is easier to make. Being an African American woman, or a person of color, it made me feel uncomfortable , This type of action towards a customer can be viewed as discrimination, This incident may not have been intentional, but ,African Americans, or people of color do not always get the same customer service as a non person of color. This is something that the employee(s) of Moji Teahouse need to be mindful of. I see a lot of persons of color supporting the business,. The employees may need some sensitivity training, or teaching tolerance lessons.. Sadly, I won't be returning because I enjoy the tea. I will take my business elsewhere. Read moreThis place is just okay in my opinion. Very beautiful, instagramable place but lacking in the sweets department. I did not know the moji donuts are premade with their premade flavors. We went during the afternoon and were told they only had 3 flavors left to choose from. We chose the Oreo matcha which had a great flavor and the lavender lemon which was just okay. The donuts were not warmed up which I’m not used to; they were room temperature which didn’t make them as appetizing. The place we normally go allows us to choose any moji donut flavor because it’s made to order. They come warm and melt in your mouth - these did not. My boba milk tea was good but there’s so many other boba places that I wouldn’t come out my way to have...
Read moreI found this place through Instagram and decided to try it out. It's a cute tiny place but it sure is quite popular. They have some adorable merchandise that looked for sale. They also had a small bench swing for photo opportunities. The selection was pretty big, and allowing for sugar and/or ice amount changes. I mainly came here for the mochi donuts. I had a pandan coconut Waffle, mochi donut and milk tea. It was reminiscent of shops you would find on the west coast. Even with 25% sugar, I found the tea to be a little too sweet. The Waffle was spongy and slightly sweet and just right for me. The donut had the chewy texture which I expected but just like the tea, it was a tad too sweet for my liking. Very cute aesthetic and...
