Rico's Acai in Belmont is one of my new favorite places to eat. Each bowl has the Acai berries on the bottom with a granola mix, then bananas and more granola on top. The Brazil Bowl has only these ingredients, but the real magic comes out of the Rainbow Bowl which has strawberries, raspberries, mango (seasonal) pineapple, kiwi, blueberries and blackberries. There are a wide varieties of optional toppings, like Nutella or peanut butter. the Apple Bowl (pictured with Nutella) is a new addition that I can't wait to try. Both of the pictured bowls are minis... Pro tip: the fruit is always fresh and well washed, so the bowls can be refrigerated for breakfast the next day!

Found Rico’s through a Google search as we left Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens (DSBG) — we were looking for a quick and easy snack, that was not fast food. This truck is behind the “everyday market” in downtown Belmont, about 12 minutes from DSBG. The bowls were fresh made and the fruit for the rainbow bowl was delicious and plentiful. Prices are were average — based on our experiences with açaí bowls — $10-17 depending on size and flavor. A small was more than enough for two kids to enjoy. There are picnic benches/tables, but no umbrellas so we are in the car because it was very hot without shade on the tables. Overall a fine place to stop if you’re in the area.

Absolutely the worst açaí I’ve had. By far. Over half the bowl was sliced banana. The açaí was grainy and didn’t have the smoothie texture one is accustomed to. Lame granola with no distinct flavorful touch. Also, the bowls are small and expensive. A large bowl will cost you around $20 with tax! Anyone with any culinary talent could make a 5X better bowl at home. Hard pass. Save your hard earned money. (The picture is of the bowl about half eaten)

This was a terrible experience! I’ve been coming here for a while because the food tastes good and I live down the street. I ordered a bowl and the girl who was working was terrible and extremely rude! She talked back to me, gave me so much attitude and she charged me $16 for a bowl I got that was $11. When I asked her if she charged the right size, she said yes and refused to give me a receipt because the additional charge wasn’t just for tax, it was because she gave herself a tip. Regardless, I was calm and just thanked her because there’s no reason to be so rude over a small exchange. For owners purposes: the girl was probably mid 20s and Latina, black hair. Wish I would’ve gotten her name so the owner can correct her disturbing behavior and teach her about customer service. Will absolutely...

Stood in queue for 15 minutes watching them slowly cut fruit and assemble a bowl with their back to me along W 4 others. They finally emerged at the window holding one bowl for the 4 others that were waiting on their orders (not in the queue). Two of the others in the queue had to call out to them as they were just about to close the window bc they were waiting to pick up online orders. They looked annoyed to even be bothered to look. The people waiting got their online orders and left. The 4 people waiting on their orders all looked confused and frustrated, they said they had been waiting 40 minutes and apparently only had one order ready . They didn't even say hello to me just closed the window. Left...
