Cherubs Cafe — Restaurant in Belmont

I wanted to find a place in Belmont, NC that served breakfast all day. This establishment was the number one rated place on Google with the best reviews for such a request, so I drove 6 miles from my hotel to check it out. When I got there, I went to the counter and attempted to place an order, and was told that breakfast was over at 11am. I indicated what I had found online and was told that I was wrong, Google was wrong, and that I should contact Google to change it.

I turned around and left. There were a dozen reasons why I should've asked for a manager, but I was absolutely disgusted by the person working the counter. I didn't order anything despite being starving and drove 15 minutes down the road to Waffle House.

First of all, if you only serve certain types of food during certain times, you should specify that online so Google doesn't direct customers to you for breakfast when they cannot get breakfast. Secondly, your counter help needs to learn the nuances of customer care. She didn't seem like she wanted to be there, was very short and curt with me, and seemed more interested in sitting down than talking to me. Third, I don't appreciate being told by one of your employees that I am wrong about what I know I saw online and that I should contact Google to modify the online business hours of an establishment I don't even own. I mean are you kidding me?

I have been in the service industry for 30 years, with probably 20 of that in food service. I would never dream of treating a customer the way I felt like I was treated.

This was an absolutely horrible experience - WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this place to anyone. Do yourself a favor and go to Waffle House - at least they won't treat you like you're a burden to...

Stopped here for breakfast one day, I don't want to seem too negative about this place because the staff and service are great which is rare these days, but the food we received was not very good especially for the price. The grits were good, but the croissants have a taste that I can't quite pin, like maybe they are frozen before they use them? Cause it kind of tasted like something that has been freezer burned, possibly. The bacon here reminds me of the bacon you see in the stores that you microwave, it's really hard and paper thin. Personally, I feel like they would benefit from using a higher quality bacon and just use less of it instead of putting a bunch of poor quality bacon. My husband who loves liver mush got the liver mush sandwich and said he couldn't finish the sandwich because the liver mush tasted nasty to him, which shocked me because I think liver mush is nasty to begin with. He also did not like the potatoes, they were very peppery. I think fast food joints might have equal or better quality than this food. First of all, your hours online should specify that you stop serving breakfast at 11am. Secondly, your counter employee has the personality of a teaspoon and needs to learn some customer service skills. Lastly, I am not particularly happy about being told that I was wrong and that I should contact Google to modify the hours of a business I don't even own.

This was my first visit to your Cafe, and I doubt I'll be returning....
