Granny's Shaved Ice + Açaí — Restaurant in Belton

This was my first time experiencing Granny's Shaved Ice. I love it! I was initially overwhelmed by all the options. My best friend ordered what's pictured, the pineapple with a scoop of vanilla ice cream with tiger's blood and gummy worms to top it all off. We ordered at the same time, but my order was accidentally overlooked (hence why I don't have a picture of mine). After waiting for almost ten minutes and everyone behind me receiving their orders, I informed the staff that I hadn't received mine yet. They were so apologetic. OMG! I was first overwhelmed by the options and then I was overwhelmed by the customer service and accommodations to rectify the oversight. They made me feel so special and even refunded me my money and still gave me my order. For this, I will definitely return and bring my friends to enjoy such a tasty treat. There are three benches with an umbrella shade, a bean bag toss game, a horseshoe game, and bubbles galore to make the experience feel like a fun day...

I visited during the heat of the day around 4p. I was very disappointed that the snowcones were in shallow cups that were half ice and half liquid when handed to us. The service was great lots of choices there was a partially covered sitting area but given it was 100 degrees it wasn't cooling enough but have to give them credit for the best efforts. We didn't like the flavors that we ordered, it didn't describe what we expected to taste. Maybe a better experience to be had during a cooler...

For a small business you’d expect owners to have a close relationship with patrons. Well these owners took that to a whole other level. Not only is the RootBeer Float flavor to die for, the everlasting impression these two left on my friends and I are worth a stop by here everytime! You wouldn’t want to miss such a big impact with something so simple… A smile.. A snow cone, and a few words exchanged on a hot summer day, made those two owners friends of mine forever.
