This wasn't my first time visiting an Ace hardware store. I normally go to the other "big warehouse" hardware store that's around the corner from me. The employees of Ace hardware stores (across the board) are always courteous but this store in particular was top-notch! No complaints at all. I went to the store for kerosene. I searched online prior to my journey and found a 5-gallon can for sale at Ace. As I'm walking in the gentleman quickly greets me and asks if I'll need a basket. It wasn't your token "welcome to [insert store name here]". He was very welcoming. I took the basket and took about two steps away when he asked me if he could help me find something. I told him what I was looking for, which ended up being directly behind me. He placed the can in my cart. Later in my visit another gentleman was pushing a cart full of recyclables and stopped to assist me in finding a syphon for the gas. Let me tell you something... this man didn't stop until he knew I was okay with the product he found. I was tickled because I was good with the first choice but he didn't stop. You can't beat this kind of customer service! Liked it so much I signed up for the rewards card. I'll definitely return. If you are in search of some one-on-one personal service, go to this hardware store. I'm certain if they don't have what you need, they can get it. They are smaller than the...
Read moreWent here recently to fix a issue with my Internet cable. Watched several videos on YouTube. Was pretty sure I knew the part I needed. Asked the customer service representative where I could find parts like that and they showed me the section. They were very polite and respectful. The store was clean and well stocked. Unfortunately the guy ask me what I was doing and I explained and he talked me out of buying what I needed and insisted I get something similar. I should have bought both but I was on a budget and their prices are kinda steep. Turns out I had to have a cable technician come out afterwards anyway and the part I had used was the wrong one. The one I went in for was the right one. But you live you learn. The guy was mistaken in my particular case but I didn't know that until after. So I can't say it was his fault, and I do appreciate him trying to help. Overall was still a decent experience and I would recommend that place to others. I do like their tools. I think they have a great selection of quality tools and I often shop there. Only reason I give 4 stars and not 5 is because their prices are higher on the same products and name brand tools than most other places in my opinion. But if your not on a budget then I wouldn't...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting Ace Hardware in Belton, where my ego trimmer decided to take an unscheduled vacation. Enter Hayden, the store manager, a man who clearly wields a wrench like a wizard wields a wand. My trimmer, which I fondly call "Ego," had an identity crisis and stopped trimming anything. Grass? Forget it. Weeds? Nope. It just sat there like a diva on strike.
Hayden took one look at Ego and, with the confidence of a surgeon, said, "I've seen worse." This guy exudes so much hardware heroism that I half expected him to put on a cape. He tinkered, he tested, he muttered some mechanical incantations, and voilà! Ego was back to its grass-chewing glory.
In the end, Hayden didn't just fix a trimmer. He restored my faith in the power of hardware know-how. He also proved that no matter how bad your day is going, there's nothing a quick trip to Ace Hardware can't fix. So, here's to Hayden and the team – they’re not just hardware heroes; they’re the weed-whacking wizards of Belton. Next time Ego throws a fit, I know exactly...
