i ordered online via just the restaurant website and got it for delivery. i ordered 3 kimbaps it was around 40 bucks. when i was ordering the food, it kept saying "shipping" on everything instead of delievery which felt weird but idk maybe its just the website. when i completed my order, i got a notification that they received it and thats all it said for about 20 minutes (nothing about delivery estimates or times). after a while i got another email saying my food was "shipped" which im assuming just means being delivered again. i still got no time estimate or anything like that, just that it was shipped and when it left. its now been over 2 hours overall and the restaurant itself its almost closed. i still have yet to get any food or an update. at this point im assuming im not gonna be getting it and i dont know if i can get a refund because the website is so lacking in any kind of info. i looked around outside of my building and have been checking my emails but still nothing, not even a delivered confirmation. looking at reviews, i dont see anyone else having this issue except for a girl on grubhub who said that her estimated time kept changing and so did her delivery person. i dont think ive ever left a review before but this is... a very big inconvenience. i literally only live 10 minutes from the restaurant. i guess just dont order from the website itself bc youre just gonna get...
Read moreI’m writing a review in hopes the owner/cook/manger sees this. It’s not a criticism. On a Friday night, I ordered a full kimchi side, Jokbal, Squid dish (can’t remember the name) and spicy soft tofu stew. The squid dish was the best out of the rest and even that was a bit underseasoned and heavy on the sugary side.
The Kimchi is way too sweet and runny. IMO it also was not fermented enough. Jokbal was also underseasoned. The knuckles were the right texture though. Not too chewy. It was also a bit too sweet. Maybe I should have just requested heavy spice on everything because I felt everything was underwhelming and sugary.
The spicy soft tofu stew was the biggest disappointment because it was too thin, light, and didn’t have enough seasoning or seafood.
For what it’s worth, the side dishes are very fresh and the customer service is excellent.
I’m going to order again at some point under different circumstances. I will give them another chance and change my review if it’s better. But for now,...
Read moreThis place was my first introduction to Korean quinine, and it was the best route to go try something new! I’ve tried many Korean restaurants over the years- but this place is so special to me. When I eat the food, I feel like I’m being welcomed into someone’s home, and encouraged to try new things! I’ve been dining here for 10yrs with my husband- we even married here! They always take such wonderful care of us when we stop into town, and the have a dish for every one to enjoy! Whether you have a preference for spicy food, vegetarian, a balanced meal with healthy veggies & protein, or something out of the ordinary like spicy octopus- I guarantee there’s something for everyone to enjoy, even for the picky eaters! I haven’t had anything I didn’t like from here, and their kimchi is so different from others in the area.
The customer service is top tier! They remember faces & are so welcoming to newcomers. Be adventurous & try something new, they’ll take good...
