Moving back to Fort Worth from Waco... this is a better place that I will seriously consider making a semi-permanent place to stay. It's priced just right. Absolutely ZERO Bedbugs (that is a serious PLUS for me... I just can't STAND getting eaten while I'm trying to sleep [Delta Inn of Waco/Bellmead... I'm staring icily at ya]), the shower is divine (and it's not just "warm" and "superheated," it's actually cold and hot), the bed is comfy (even though it's a full-size bed), and even though there's a small selection of channels on the TV (Recommendation: Download the "Guide Plus" app from Google Play and Apple App Store cuz it lets you customize your channel lineup), at least the HDMI ports are open on the TV so I can hook up my laptop and Raspberry Pi to watch YouTube (get a Premium subscription--worth it) or play retrogames (Lakka)/watch Kodi (LibreELEC). Also, shopping is nearby (Ollie's, Fiesta, etc.), dining (Whataburger, Jack in the Box, West Side Cafe, Taco Casa, etc.) and even a convenience store is nearby. If you ride the bus, there is a Trinity Metro stop right at your front door.
A few pros: -- QUIET! I have not seen anyone trying to sell me drugs (and as a 9-month and counting recovering meth addict, that's a bonus) -- Rooms are not cramped at all. -- Bus stop right in front of the place. (Trinity Metro Route 26 AM only... after noon... one across the street) -- NO BED BUGS. You come to a hotel to have a place to get off the streets or whatever, not have bites all over your body. -- Serviced by the owners themselves daily.
A few cons: -- A $10 deposit is required at check-in. This isn't much of an issue, though, but you do get a real key instead of a magnetic stripe/RFID key card; and your remote is given to you at check-in. Both must be returned at check-out. -- While the other reviewers have made a mention regarding the owners... yeah, they can be a little aloof... but please, don't let it bother you. -- No late-night check-ins. I don't consider this an issue because it keeps the riff-raff out. I actually like that. -- No WiFi... Even though I seen a few "Golden Gate Motel" SSIDs in my Windows 10 Network Manager... I'd rather use my phone's hotspot anyway.
Bottom line: Will stay here as long...
