My wife and I moved near this Whataburger the beginning of December. Both of us being Whataburger fanatics (as well as our three and a half year old little girl), we have visited this establishment around seven or eight times. Alas, we will not patron this particular Whataburger ever again. Every visit has been met with rude employees, constantly having to repeat the order because the employees insist on having conversations amongst themselves instead of listening (you can always hear it over the speaker), and the wrong/missing items.
We went by tonight, and once again the gentleman on the speaker would not listen. My wife had to repeat the order about four times. He also kept cutting her off and trying to usher her to the window before she had completed the order, and when she finally completed it, he didn’t bother repeating it back to her. When she got up to the window, the lady at the window read back the order, and it was (shockingly) wrong. My wife said that it was wrong, to which the employee responded, “Well, that’s what you ordered.” My wife responded that it wasn’t and attempted to correct the order. The employee held up her hand and told her to wait, and then yelled back to the kitchen to stop making the order because “the customer changed her mind.” Once the order was corrected, the employee closed the window and had no further interaction until the order was ready, to which she opened the window, handed her the food, still very obviously upset, and closed the window again. My wife had to get her attention to ask for ketchup.
I’ve worked in customer service and the food industry for nine years, and I know that it is an unforgiving industry, and I have the utmost respect for people who consistently work in it as I am no longer in the industry myself. I don’t advocate that the customer is always right. However, I am an advocate of making sure the customer never knows that you think/know they’re wrong, and openly disrespecting a customer by saying that the order was placed exactly as it was ordered, and then doing it again by saying the customer changed their mind is uncalled for. We’ve just had too many bad experiences to ever frequent this particular...
Read moreI moved away from DFW about 8 months ago and there are ZERO Whataburgers where I live now. (I guess even heaven has to have a negative... somewhere) Recently, I caught myself a heck of a craving for that famous #2 w/cheese! OMG, the sensation you experience while your teeth slowly push through the bun, past the mustard and toppings into the meat... each bite is a mouthful of tasty burger. Usually your mind is off in Lala Land while you're consuming and savoring each bite... but then, seems like, in an instant, you realize there is only 2 or 3 nibbles left!! The surprise hits you out of nowhere like a ton of bricks because, I mean, you watched yourself expertly select the next bite and align that burger for the best possible bite. Each. Time. ... its kind of beautiful and amazing each time... However, this visit, this location(?), this experience... was supremely disappointing. This was my ONLY CHANCE to feel that ecstasy just one more time (Who knows when I will be back in DFW) but it let me down. Now, you might be thinking to yourself, "Hey guy, its your own fualt for putting a hamburger on such a high pedestal. There was No Way it was gonna ever live up to the fantasy that you remember" - You make a good point, but I counter with "Test me!" ... I challenge someone, anyone, perhaps even YOU! Get a #2 from here and match it with a #2 from Hurst (Pipeline and Melbourne). I guarantee, Hurst...
Read moreThis is by far the worse Whataburger ever. Last time My husband went there and they give us a burger without the meat. Not everyone has the chance to stop somewhere and check your food I mean you pay to get what you ask for but they will always give you the wrong things. we called to ask them to remake our order because the sandwich was going to be nasty and cold and my burger was wrong. My husband got there and they had an attitude FOR THEIR MISTAKE and threw the other sandwich away. Then proceed to argue with my husband that all he asked for as them to remake the 2 burgers. Because THEY MADE A “MISTAKE” which I’m Start to think they do it on purpose to annoy people. I wish I went there instead of my husband I heard the girl going on on arguing with my husband over 2 BURGERS THAT WE PAY FOR ACCUSING HIM OF LYING AND THAT HE DID NOT CALL THEM TO ASK FOR AN ORDER REPLACEMENT WHEN OUR SECURITY CAMERAS YOU CAN HEAR HIM AND THEM TALKING ON THE PHONE ABOUT IT. I worked in a restaurant before and I know how clients can be but I hate to cause a fuss but this girl really got into my last nerve. I wish I knew who she was cus my husband didn’t even want to know anything about her but is insane. I would never give one more penny to this place. People that work there should look for a different...
