We sat with Tay. She is super sweet & as attentive as she is capable of being. 100% effort AT ALL TIMES. You can tell she works really hard, & she just makes things flow. She was making coffee, bagging Togo orders, checking out customers at the register, running her food, cleaning her tables, among other things. Go girlie!! I see u over there, I can wait. & i observe what's going on around me so that I realize u aren't neglecting your tables youre just working to make sure things flow. & you should be proud of that. But let me make myself clear, NEVER once did I feel neglected during my visit. The whole team besides one guy did a very good job at communicating with one another & getting the food out hot & in a timely manner.
With that being said... It is rather annoying to sit there while you're waiting for a table & an employee is literally LEANING against the wall WATCHING them work in the kitchen. DURING RUSH, THEYRE ON A WAIT. DO SOMETHING. that's my only negative thing I have to say though. Overall I had a good experience & the vibes were good. Food was hot & I was happy about that. Waffle house has the best cheesy scrambled eggs ever. Thanks Waffle House, & keep up the good work. I feel like service industry workers dont get the credit they're owed. Hopefully this can remind you of why you do what you do & deal with the things you deal with on a...
Read moreWent to this Waffle House on a Friday evening before the after hours rush (around 8pm) because it's close to my house and is much cleaner and nicer than some of the other ones in the area. It wasn't super busy and there were several open booths so we took a spot on the far end by the windows facing the street. Server was new and had trouble taking our order. Wife ordered cheese n eggs and he asked how she wanted her eggs 😂. After he repeated it back and got everything correct, we thought everything was good to go. 20 minutes later, the people next to us who arrived after we did were brought the food that they ordered, and we still haven't even gotten our drinks. I thought it was a bit odd, but thought maybe it was because we ordered something that took longer to cook, and the new server probably just forgot to bring us our drinks. About 5 minutes later another server comes to our table and asks if we are ready to order. To my surprise, the other server that took our order apparently never even put it in. We immediately just got up and left since we never received anything to pay for. I usually avoid this Waffle House during peak hours as it's usually very busy and has a long wait, but I think from now on I'll just go to the one by Ridgemar mall. Never had any issues...
Read moreFood was good, coffee was okay, but staff was extremely rude. Not greeting when we entered just after 1:30pm. After we seated ourselves at the one clean booth, we were rudely informed "this side is closed! Ya'll gotta go sit over there." As we got up I informed her those tables were not clean. She looked at the table stating " I guess somebody gone clean it." Another waitress half cleaned it and rolled her eyes when I asked if she could sanitize (Omicron variant was at its height). It was New Years Eve so they were closing early. I watched 2 of the employees snapping at customers entering the facility. On one side empty booths were blocked off as customers ate and left, but the other side of the diner was full so a couple older ladies waited. As the booth behind us became available the older ladies approached at which the waitress at the cash registered hollered, "Its closed! The ladies inquired why that one was closed too the waitress replied. "I get off at 2." It was 1:30 and the sign on the door said closing at 3:30. The woman inquired further to which the waitress snapped, "No, I said I get off at 2!" When 2 of the other waitresses looked at her, she continued, "I don't care. I have...
