Wow House — Restaurant in Benbrook

We tried this place when they first opened and they were terrible. So I waited a few years and after hearing good reviews on Nextdoor we tried it again. It was better but I’d say overall it was ok. We had the Kung Po chicken and some spring rolls. As your usual Chinese food place the meal was full of celery and carrot fillers. I mean just my meal alone must have been several sticks of each chopped up. The chicken scarce but was good quality and not chewy. The medium spice was perfect. Now the fried rice was like I’ve never seen. It looked more like Mexican season rice. It did not have the egg, peas and carrots you normally see. It tasted like soy sauce soaked rice. Like I’ve said never seen before. The spring rolls were very good dipped in the sweet sour sauce. I’ll be back to try another meal and if it’s any different I’ll update this review. Look, there's the thing. The food taste really good but I keep finding black hair in my food. I've been here 4 times and twice have I gotten hair in my food. That's 50%. It's really sad because this place has the best tofu I've tasted. I want the salt and pepper tofu so badly but I just don't want to chance getting hair in my food again. I mentioned something to the lady at the front the first time and she immediately fixed the order, apologized several times and made it right. I genuinely appreciate that.
