Cassity's Bar — Restaurant in Bend

I never give bad reviews, but this couldnt be ignored. My wife and I walked in and seated ourselves. After a few minutes my wife noticed a little sign on the table that states you have to order your food and drinks at the bar. (Had we not seen that sign, we would been sitting there for God knows how long) Since we didnt want to lose our table, I went to the bar to order our food and drinks. At first the male bartender was helping someone and he looked up and motioned he would be with me shortly. I was standing with my menu patiently waiting as he then started serving others at the bar one after another like I didnt even exist. I kept waiting... as he continued serving more rounds of drinks. Then the female bartender walked past me and asked the two guys next to me what they would like and they arrived after me! I guess I could have said, sorry I was next, but at that point, that put me over the edge. I motioned to my wife, let's GO and she couldnt believe I was at the bar that long without placing an order. We left and went accross the street to Prost, which acknowledged our existence right away and we ordered beers and burgers. So four of us decided to give it a try, not knowing what to expect. We were seated and greeted nicely by the staff. Beer selection was excellent and the red wine my wife ordered was excellent. Two of us ordered dinner salads and the greens and components were excellent! Very fresh! Tater tots and onion rings were perfectly fried and not oily at all. Being from the Philadelphia area I and another ordered the steak sandwich- the roll was absolutely perfect and the sandwich was one of the very best I’ve had since leaving the East Coast!! My wife ordered the blue cheese burger and fries- the burger was done perfectly and was delicious; the fries were perfectly fried and crispy to boot! The roast beef sandwich was excellent with the au jus being perfectly seasoned and hot. All in, we couldn’t have been happier with the food, the service and the drinks. I suspect this newer place will quickly become a very popular spot for food and drink! We will be regulars, guaranteed! Well...

Tonight I came in for the first time and ordered the pho and a couple of drinks. I was skeptical about pho in a bar but ordered it anyway hoping for the best, you never know. The pho basically tasted like beef broth with poorly prepared chopped up chunks of beef that were really chewy. The noodles had an off texture and the basil was incredibly wilted. The jalapeños were also dry shriveled. I took a few bites and pushed it away. I proceed to drink my mixed drink and the grapefruit tasted mildly fermented but I drank it anyway. I wasn't going to waste the vodka too lol. I then asked for the bill and the bartender didn't even bother to ask why I left 95% percent of my meal untouched. They don't have a waitress btw. You have to order everything at the bar. I paid my bill and left within about 20 minutes, even tipping 20% for subpar service. Solid 3/10. I will not recommend Cassidy's and probably...
